Gluten free dieting

I have been on a gluten-free diet for 18 years. When I was diagnosed all those years ago, products were few and not so palatable. Today, everything is gluten-free, and many foods taste as good as the real thing. For me, these foods are both a blessing and a curse. It is great to eat what others are having, but many of these foods are a source of added calories for me, and I tend to overdo it. Until five years ago, I ate most of my meals at home and kept them simple. I avoided bread, pasta, and baked goods and ate a Whole Foods diet, mainly because these foods were the ones I knew were safe. I wish I had kept this practice since I effortlessly stayed at a better weight and felt much better. I can personally attest to the fact that processed food is addictive; at least, it has been for me. I've tried many times over the past years to cut out these items that seem to cause me to overeat or at least limit my intake, only to fail. This will be my goal in 2025. I will focus on returning to a Whole Foods diet of proper potion sizes in hopes of restoring my health. I am fortunate enough to know that this has worked in the past and is vital to my future health. Quality of life is the most important focus for me; health is determined by the choices we make every day, and I am choosing to make better diet and fitness choices going forth. I wish everyone else success in their own goals for 2025.

Well done, I am struggling with the over processed food too. I am starting on a new mind set of changing my food choices too.
