Gluten Free flours, etc. are higher in calories
I have been unable to lose weight since my diagnosis last March. I find that the GF products are even higher in calories than regular breads, cakes, etc. There doesn't seem to be a low-cal option other than just never eating baked goods or crackers. Are there others out there who have Celiac? What do you do?
Newly Diagnosed
Help! I was just diagnosed with a gluten allergy. I've been on a weight loss plateau since I went GF. What suggestions do you have to get the scale going back down?

Hi, I am new to the group and just recently back to MFP. I have been back on this weight loss journey for 16 days and have cut out all bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Been eating green veggies, cottage cheese, eggs, cheese, meats and skipping on any snacking except for some natural peanut butter, almonds or pork rinds. I…

Hello group! I am very new to this GF biz. I had been trying for years to get to a healthy weight but nothing seemed to work. I love exercise but it was like I was spinning my wheels and going nowhere. Then I found out that my thyroid was not functioning AT ALL. Once we got that up and running 30 lbs just fell off. Then I…
Cake Mix
My daughter has celiac disease and I want to make a cake for Easter. However, the gluten free flour and cake mix I have tried does not taste good. Can anyone suggest something that has a good taste that she will enjoy?
Gluten Free
My daughter has been diagnosed with Gluten allergy since the summer. She has been away at college so only home on occasion. I think when she moves home it will be easier to prepare all of our meals gluten free to avoid cross contamination (this even makes her sick). Anyone have suggestions on how to get the rest of the…
Giving gluten free another try...anyone else have these symptoms?
Hey all! Thanks for letting me be part of this group :) I have been on and off gluten free for about 4 months and have noticed that I do feel better and have more energy when I am not eating gluten. Some of the other side effects I was having eating gluten was soreness/numbness in hands and extremely dry mouth. Anyone else…
