    @pizzafruit - Cool name! And, welcome!

    I have a wicked bad sinus headache today. It's also the first day of snow we've had all winter, and last night was the first large amount of complex carbs I've had this year with 1/2 c. of brown rice. So, I am not sure if the headache is from the weather change, the carbs, or is just a random headache.

    I am hoping it goes away by lunch time though, because I plan to have a chat with my president counterpart. I'm not placing any hope or doubt or anything on it. I plan to just talk with him and see where it goes. This talk is one thing my boss in Germany has asked me to do, so I need to stop procrastinating on it.

    Oh, and for this week just being weird and a bit hard, my mom called me in a panic yesterday because her dog was constipated and started bleeding. I got her to call the vet. The vet wasn't too worried, but still scheduled an appointment for this morning. I came over this morning to help my mom with her dog. When I got there, the bleeding had stopped and within about 10 minutes she went outside and pooped. The dog is fine. I was able to cancel the appointment and make it into work at a decent time.

    @ashleycarole86 - I am so sorry to hear you are sick again! I had a similar chain of sickness events happen in December. I felt lousy for a while, but eventually got over it. I am sure you will, too!

    @Alatariel75 - I have been channeling my inner Leslie Knope since I first saw the posting!

    @ashleycarole86 - Monday, January 27 - 7,306 steps - 3 games of bowling
    Tuesday, January 28 - 3,125 steps
    Wednesday, January 29 - 4,766 steps, 45 minutes of spin

    Not doing great on the steps this week, but considering how this week has gone so far, I am impressed with myself for getting done what I have.

    I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I usually start the day with a sinus headache and by mid morning it's gone. One day cold, the following day,temps warm up and then it's cold once again. I'm convinced that's the problem, and Spring will be a much awaited change. Feel better soon.

    I've been the same exact weight for 3 weeks now... So frustrating...

    @MaddawgMadsen I hope the meeting with your boss goes well! You have been having issues for a while now, so I'm glad you started applying to other places! And I hope your sinus headache gets better soon, those are awful. Sometimes a hot shower can help too! Oh and I'm glad your mom's dog is ok!

    @Gidgitgoescrzy that's frustrating when you hit a plateau. Have you done anything different recently? What's 1 small change you can make that may help next week?

    It's 60F here today, but feels chilly since it's cloudy. I still need to go for my walk today. I just feel drained and like I don't want to do anything. But it's also the best I've felt pain wise since my surgery. I will probably start working on my crochet project after this.

    Welcome to the group @pizzafruit ... looking foward to hearing a bit about you!

    @MaddawgMadsen I've double checked and I don't have your Jan 20-22 steps - if you can send them I won't have a gap for you!

    Been working from home the past couple of days since I'm under the weather again.

    Welcome @pizzafruit! I'm a pretty new joiner and this challenge, and group has been so helpful.

    @MaddawgMadsen ahhh pets, don't you love them? They cause so much stress haha

    @ashleycarole86 I hope you're feeling better soon!

    @Gidgitgoescrzy I'm not on a plateau, per se, because it's not been long enough but I am hovering at the same weight for a couple of weeks now and after such consistent losses, it's frustrating me! I know it's a marathon and not a race, and I KNOW I've not been perfect and have been letting stuff slip, but still - c'mon! Throw me a bone, LOL. I think I'm just antsy because I'm less than 1kg off 30kg lost and I just can't seem to get there.

    So at the suggestion of a friend, I videoed my yoga session this morning, to show the 'fun' of doing yoga with a 15 week old puppy. He did not disappoint. I'm going to tape a few sessions, then cut together the best bits. Gotta say though, there's nothing like seeing yourself on video in yoga pants and a crop top to burst that "I'm looking great!" bubble LOL. Video and lycra take no prisoners.

    Sorry I missed last week! Influenza A is going through my kids schools. My boys have had fevers. Work has been busy since I missed a few days with sick kid duty. I haven't been tracking or anything. I'm planning to count this period as a diet break and start fresh right away. Hopefully no one else gets it.

    @MaddawgMadsen - You have pushed through with your job for so long and advocated for yourself. There's only so much you can control and if your counterpart is that difficult I can understand why you need to move. And on top of that your wallet! - very crummy week. Hugs to you. Hope your meeting went well.

    @ashleycarole86 - take good care of yourself.

    @pizzafruit- welcome to the group

    I'm tired today. We are getting a dump of snow and work is dragging on. I have been applying to other jobs because I feel like I'm at a point with my schooling and career I need a change. I have a great job on paper but it's not challenging me, nor do I feel like I'm appreciated or getting satisfaction from my job. I do have a preliminary interview for a new position next week - haven't done an interview in forever and not a skill I"m great at. Any suggestions on interview prep?

    I'm not a premium member - I don't track my food much and find it's a tool I'm not willing to pay for at this time. I'm very conscious on my subscriptions this year.

    @cleaneater80 - biggest thing I do is try to prep some questions and answers with examples. Things I've done great, something related to job description. Also plan to ask questions.

    As someone who has worked for the same company my whole career, I haven't done an interview with a company external to mine in forever!!!! However, I do hire staff and conduct interviews often. Does your line of work normally interview in the STAR format, where you have to give the situation, task, action, and result?

    If so, my advice would be to be as specific as possible with your examples, and don't forget to be explicit about the result. Sometimes folks get so wrapped up in the storytelling they don't actually highlight the most important part - what they achieved through what they did.

    I know my husband has been interviewing recently and he reviews the job description beforehand and takes some notes on his experience and what is most relevant for him to highlight that he can tie back to the specific job description. He also uses AI to ask him sample interview questions so he can prep examples ahead of time.

    Definitely key to be on time... I had an HR recruiter rule someone out because they were late, and I think she might have overlooked it but the person offered excuses instead of apologies.

    Try to research the company as well and know as much as you can about the role so you can ask a couple of good questions at the end.

    Good luck! It's all good practice - hope the position you're interviewing for is a good fit!

    she sticks the landing! I unfortunately continued to have a weird stomach this week so it was kind of easy to hang onto the big loss when I was afraid to eat most foods. Feeling better today and hopefully ready for some French buffets =D

    @lauren_989 I will skip next week as I will be in the Alps all week. stay tuned for the post vacation weigh in lol....

    @ashleycarole86 remind us what you do for work? How long have you worked there? And please feel better!!

    @MaddawgMadsen I am delayed but so sorry for the difficult week you are having!! Missing to not-so-missing wallet, knee pain, mom's dog problems... ugh on UGH!!

    @Kali225 have fun on your vacation! Please post pictures when you get back. And nice loss after your big loss last week!

    @conleywoods flu is going around here like crazy too. Did I read right though and you didn't catch it? Keep washing your hands!

    This afternoon is supposed to rain, so after I post here, I am going to walk this morning. It didn't get as cold last night as it has been recently, so that's a plus for walking this morning. Does anyone have plans for this weekend?

    @Kali225 - Have so much fun on your trip and nice work on the weight loss two weeks in a row! It might have been illness related, but it still counts!

    @cleaneater80 - I definitely understand the feeling for wanting to look for a new job. And, I was going to give advice on interviewing, but everything I was going to say, @ashleycarole86 already said.

    @Alatariel75 - "there's nothing like seeing yourself on video in yoga pants and a crop top to burst that "I'm looking great!" bubble LOL. Video and lycra take no prisoners." ... This cracked me up! It is so true! I think you will love the video you make at the end of puppy yoga, though. So, have fun with it!

    I actually had to do the meeting with my counterpart this morning instead of yesterday because of work stuff that came up. It went okay. I think he understands how I've been feeling. I'm not sure how much will change, but I'm glad I got everything off my chest.

    I still have a horrible sinus headache. But, I think I've narrowed down the potential culprit(s) - it's likely either not enough water or (possibly and) the new collagen we've been using this week. We started it on Monday or Tuesday, but it is a flavored one and has stevia in it. I haven't had any sweeteners other than fruit or maple syrup in over a month. So, today I will drink all the water and stop using the collagen. Then, when the headaches go away and I have been drinking lots of water daily, I might try it again.

    @lauren_989 - this weekend I plan to take my pups to the pet store so they can get more food, and then take them to the dog park. It will be puppy Henry's first trip to the dog park! Other than that, I plan to relax, do a few chores, and hopefully get rid of this headache!

    @MaddawgMadsen omg, even before reading your comment, I was planning on posting in here about water intake. So I saw a women's health physio for, y'know, stuff that ladies of a certain age can often use some help with. She identified that I drink too much water, and should cut down. So yesterday I made a concerted effort not to have my huge stein of water at my desk and to drink less... guess what? By 3pm, I was cranky, and craving, and I ended up binging on chocolate and some snacks, and ordering takeaway instead of making the lovely fish I bought, and this morning I literally feel hungover.

    So forget her, the amount of water I'm drinking doesn't cause me issues or bother me and I hate how I feel when I don't, so I'll be drinking my water, thank you!!

    My first time in a bit not being in the green, however, my TOM started for me on Wednesday, so I’m hoping this increase is due to that.
