Which cardio surgery did you have?
I've had a couple, but BP still high, and pulse too low.

I had a VT Ablation on 12/18, a PVC Ablation is where they make an incision in your groin and run a wire up into your heart chamber and burn away any dead / damaged cells which are causing the arythmia, I had 2 of those and they did not correct my problem because as it turns out the damage is on the outside of my heart. So they did the VT Ablation which is where they poke a hole in your chest and run the wire up under the breast bone and through the pericardium so they can get access to the area of the outside of the heart in order to burn away the damaged tissue. It proved to be a 4 - 5 hour procedure, and took more out of me then I was expecting, so the recovery has been longer. My BP has been pretty good after the initial few days, but my heart rate is a concern. After posting an effective heart rate in the 30 to 40 range for the last 4 years, I am now having a resting heart rate in the 90 to 110 range. The other day I was eating lunch and having trouble breathing because my heart rate was 135. Any kind of movement sends my heart rate soaring. I see cardiology next Thursday and I expect they will put me back on some kind of beta blocker, although they may want me to wear a 2 week halter monitor first, its all an evolving situation. The good news is my DW insists that I am looking and acting better, (skin tone, mood, involvement etc), but I still do not feel quite "right", maybe this is my "New normal" we will have to wait and see.
