    Woohoo, a 2.2 lb loss.

I didn't weigh in on Monday, but will weigh in on Friday and see if not eating treats during the week has helped.

I weighed on Friday and was 239 - sigh. I'm not eating sweet treats during the week and only one on Saturday and one on Sunday. No losing is not unusual for me, especially now when the pain is so bad I can hardly walk.

Oh, praise the Lord, I slept from 12:15 to 7 this morning. So awesome. I am usually up twice to go to the bathroom. I prayed and asked the Lord to help me not have to get up, it's so painful to get up and then get back in the bed - and God in His mercy heard my prayer and gave me a full night's sleep!

Well, I'm going to get out of my office chair and get back into my recliner (I'm using Wade's electric recliner, with the lumbar support. My recliner has the handle and you have it either up or down, no in between and it doesn't always stay up! LOL! It was kind of funny when I moved over to Wade's chair and then I had him bring me the stuff I need from where my chair was - "Oh, could you get me..." "Oh, and that other thing too." I got the eye roll with a smile!

Just ounces, Marilyn, that will be easier to get rid of! That could also have been some water retention - who knows.

I was at 239 on Friday and Monday.

I am in need of an intervention: I hit 250 today. I am so sad, mad at myself, in great pain and really struggling.

BUT….this is not the end nor am I giving up. I'm dusting off, picking up and moving on. By the grace of God, in His strength and to His glory….This is a new day, a new start and I have hope for recovery and joy in the journey, still.

    BP is great, @ 124/73 56…BS is 183….Rolling out of the gate….

Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't promised, today is all we have, so live it with all you've got for Jesus!

You've done it before and you can do it again! I think that a good bit of that may be water because you jumped up there really fast - so drink, baby, drink! Also work on less simple carbs and more complex carbs (fruits and veggies). Here's a list of fruits with 15 carbs and the amount you can take:

One serving of fruit has 15 grams of carbs. But the serving size can be very different depending on the type of fruit. For example, you get 15 grams of carbs from:

    • 1/2 medium apple or banana
    • 1 cup blackberries or raspberries
    • 3/4 cup blueberries
    • 1 1/4 cup whole strawberries
    • 1 cup cubed honeydew melon
    • 1/8 cup raisins

    Glycemic index

    • Cherry: 25
    • Blueberry: 25
    • Pomegranate: 35
    • Grapefruit: 22
    • Apple, average: 39
    • Banana, ripe: 62
    • Dates, dried: 42
    • Grapes, average: 59
    • Orange, average: 40
    • Peach, average: 42
    • Pear, average: 43
    • Watermelon: 75
    • Grapes, green: 45
    • Grapes, red: 45
    • Grapes, black: 59
    • Pears: 43

You can look all of this up too. I know things are expensive right now so getting a good multi vitamin might be a help too. I take a multi-vitamin (Vegepower Whole Foods Vitamin) and then a few times a week a green powder (Naturelo Raw Greens). This gives me what I can't get mostly because I don't like veggies but also it is a cost effective way to get the vitamins I need from things that are very expensive right now. I do get one small or 1/2 med apple six days a week with my yogurt. Eat meat and veggies and if you have to have rice or a potato make it a small portion! And use your little foot stepper thing as often as you are able - a little bit is better than nothing! I hope that was encouragement. I think you will take off several pounds rather quickly. Always, always, always seek the Lord and ask Him to give you the will and desire to make the right choices! And when you want to make a wrong choice, pray and walk away! Hey, that blood pressure is great, and your blood sugar isn't bad either - woohoo!

Lots of pain today for me. I asked Jennifer if I could take my statin every other day. Sore muscles on both sides of the body is a side effect but just of 5-10% of the people who take it. I don't know if it's whatever I have that is making me have so much joint pain, or if it's that side-effect. If I can lessen how much I take now that it is under control it might help ease some of the pain. We'll have to see. Next Monday I see the orthopedist again and hope he has some answers. Just going to take it easy today.

Love you gals. As Meme says - Shine for Jesus!

Thanks Kim, for your input. My pain has been worse, meaning activity has been even lower, inflammation has been higher than before. I was retaining fluid for sure.

I have a lot of lovely veggies and some fruit on hand, (canned, NSA, tangerines and apples) fish, chicken and the like….just not the will/energy to cook much, currently. I have to use my stool to do any cooking and for dealing with the dishwasher. I still do my chores/activities in 5-7 minute spurts…

Yesterday was a repeat of the Macaroni/cheese with veggies and the last of my meatballs…That was lunch and dinner. Very easy, quick and very tasty. Little activity..apx. 35 minutes. I'll aim for more today. The back is screaming but I took Tylenol and used the roll on. I'm back on just the Tylenol after reading the warnings on my dual pain reliever about the stomach bleeding issues with Ibuprofen use and I don't want another run in with that!

    Today's numbers:

    Wt: 246.4 BS: 109 BP: 141/78 60

Thanks so much for your prayers and encouragement! You ad Marilyn and Missy remain in mine as well. I love you all and am so thankful for you.

Looks like you did lose some of that weight - yeehaw! Oops on the BP but the BS looks great! shimmy shimmy happy dance!

I'm at 240, back and forth between 240 and 239. Just not enough activity to make a difference. I try to get extra steps, but it is so painful to walk - I just want to sit in one position where there isn't any pain. If I move at all I get a shot of pain pretty much everywhere where the arthritis and bursitis is bad, then it quiets and I don't move again for a little bit. I do get up and move around because it hurts a lot when I get up after sitting for awhile! I'm so glad I have Jesus, He is my rock, my strength, my shoulder to lean on. God is good!

Hope y'all are safe during these storms! We should be in its sight tomorrow. Praying God will keep us safe here! Love y'all.

Thanks Kim! I'm at 245 this morning so down 5 in 2 days. My pain is relieved by laying down, which makes for good rest but not productivity. Continued prayers…and comfort of God….in the days ahead, for us all.
