It is often hard to quiet the voices in your head. There are always issues to resolve and here we are adding tot he stress by adopting a healthier life style. But it is not just physical health that we need to change. Our mental health is far more important.

I have what I call 'cycles'. I can remember something negative that happened to me in the past which has no relative impact on my life and have it go through my head like a hamster on a wheel. The only thing it serves to do is make me miserable.

I also imagine that many of us have relationships. I'm new to it. 52 years old and this is my third boyfriend. I can cycle over our issues too and that adds to the desire to stress/bored eat even when I am not hungry.

I have discovered over my life time that I have to put my brain on a different track. I take a few moments to envision myself somewhere else and play sounds so that my brain doesn't play with my own thoughts.

I'm not stressed today but I did think of making this thread so I am going to start it off. Please share your own tranquil mind places.
