I'm not sure I'm fully understanding the effort, but one key item has been the scale itself. I bought a high-quality scale when I started WW, and I use it every day to keep track of myself.

A second key item is another scale--the food scale. I still weigh/measure a few items to keep more portion sizes from creeping up.

When planning/preparing my meals, I really take the fiber count into consideration. Fiber is very filling, and it helps to scrub those blood vessels. As you indicated, there are many things out there; but, this is an easy one to do with each meal.

I weigh and measure as much as I can to keep me on the best path I can.
I am also trying to contain my carbs.

I’m with Steve on this one. The scale tells me whether I’m making more good decisions than bad decisions, and gives me a chance to adjust that balance as needed.

I keep searching for someplace I can buy good decisions so that I don’t have to make them myself, but that hasn't worked out yet. If I want to manage my weight, I still have to do the work of making good decisions. The scale prompts me, but I’ve gotta do the work.

I,too, keep track of fiber, aiming for a daily total of 30 grams. How does fiber help scrub blood vessels?

Weighing food and tracking food intake combine to make a key to weight management. Weighing myself weekly let's me know if the process is working. Tracking food is important not only to manage calorie intake but to ensure that my diet is high quality, something my dietitian strongly emphasizes, especially for seniors.

Count me in with those who said the scales, but let me add the notebook I use to track points each day. I also have a printed cheat-sheet of pre-calculated points for most of my common menu items.

In my attempt at a breezy response, I was inarticulate. Fiber reduces LDL cholesterol.
