HOW IT ALL WORKS: The February challenge runs for four weeks, from February 2nd - March 1st.

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leader board. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love Introduce or re-introduce yourselves right away, and let's get February on the road!

    Welcome to February, Slimpossibles!
I'm Mica, one of the maintainers of the team.
I am a semi-retired bookkeeper; I work 3 days a week at a plastics factory. I started my weight loss journey at 220 lbs in 2001. I reached my goal weight of 130 at the end of 2003. But I regained (not all of it) and had some up/down weight cycles of about 3 years each...finally succeeded in maintaining in my range successfully. I've been holding pretty steady since 2019. Determined never to regain.
Most of my exercise is walking. I do a short strength training workout early in the morning. If weather prevents me from walking, I have a stationary bike, a walking pad, and an elliptical for cardio workouts. I sometimes do yoga in the evenings. My goal for February is to be more consistent with my yoga practice.

I look forward to staying slim for February. 💙 My teammates keep me accountable!💙 💙

Below is my weigh in for February 1, which is also posted on the January chat.

Good day to sit down to relax and catch up here. I am picking Jan 30 to start catching up:).

@TeresaW2024 it sounds like your life is very eventful right now! What is POS?
Wow! You lost 11.6 pounds, good for you!! That is a huge step buying your niece a house. There are some big decisions we make in life that sometimes don't make the most financial sense, but make the most sense for our hearts and our brains. It sounds like you have a great team surrounding you that will steer you in the right direction.

@Trooworld sounds like you are having some super good things happening as far as your health is concerned. You're going off diabetes medication and getting in and out of the car is easier, huge!! So glad you can eat solid food :-). Those Doritos would've driven me around the bend lol. Why can't you drink from a straw? Congrats on the loss, 10 lbs down in January!!! Hanging out in the hot tub sounds like a delightful thing to do, sounds like you have a great Sunday planned as well.

@Vegan4lyfe2012 those chips and guac would've done me in as well. Good choice on the salad and tofu, whoops on the dressing but as a stress eater, I understand. I know I can't have that stuff in my house, people tell me to just put it away so it's out of sight, that does not work for me at all if I am stressed or in pain.

@katmary71 i'm glad you were able to get Asher's medication sorted out. I am so sorry that the weather affects you so badly, that's really tough. I am so sorry that you're having problems sleeping, lack of sleep is tough to deal with.

Well my friends, it is freezing cold, -30° C here today, so we are not budging out of this house. I was supposed to meet a friend at the gym this morning for a gentle workout and I ended up jamming out lol. I did do my Physio exercises and some TRX exercises.
My energy is definitely getting back on track, memory is about as good as it's going to get lol. I still have some stiffness in my neck, but it is so much improved!
I have been trying to get more consistent with my tracking, but honestly I am off and on with it. Goal for today is to track the full day.
It is just going to be a chill day around here, great morning to try to catch up with all the Slims, sorry I couldn't comment on everything or I would not get off my couch all day. My plan is too ketchup on my house a bit and get back to work all night agility area. I should have been done that by now, but haven't been able to do anything down there. I am just going to do some prepping etc. down there and as my neck improves I will get it finished. Hope everybody's having a great Sunday

Unfortunately I am not in a position to post or read on a regular basis. I had issues with the android version. I started having issues with the apple version. I reached out for help and was basically told yep we know but just use the website instead of the app. Fast forward a bit and I read the hacking was happening through the ads. Well I’m not about all of that mess. I did reach out again and was told it’s a big misunderstanding.

So here I am now and I noticed that I had been mentioned in regards to the carnivore diet. I did try and go back to see where it began and didn’t find anything. I’m sure it’s there.

I do eat meat only. I have been like this for over a year, strict since Mar.’24. At first glance it seems it would get monotonous but it’s not. There are so many types of meat and cooking styles. Eggs and dairy products can be allowed though some people only eat meat. I have made a butter sauce, cream cheese sauce and hard boiled egg mayo. There are some that use sugar alternatives and make cookies, “ice cream” and even pancakes. As for myself I do not do that. I’ve rattled on long enough. Have a blessed day!

@morenin Are you leaving MIssion Slimpossibles? I'm guessing so as you aren't on the spreadsheet, best of luck to you! On MFP you need to be friends with someone to send them a private message, not sure if we're friends on here or not now that there's no feed. Hope you and your bestie do great on the same team!

Hi everyone I'm Kathy and I'm one of your captains along with the incredible @trooworld. We have @micaroo , our inspiring motivator, cheering on the team. I'm 53 and live in CA with my two kitties and roommate. Been on this team for 6 years first as a member, then motivator, then decided to co-captain with @trooworld as the last co-captain was leaving and we've worked well together plus became friends along the way (she has THE BEST book and recipe recommendations!) and that gave us the chance to have an additional helper. I have severe chronic pain and spent a couple decades bedridden, it's a lot harder trying to be part of society but I'm happy to say I have a more full and happy life from making the effort. I have CRPS (inflammatory autonomic nervous system disregulation causing severe pain and mobility loss) and nerve/spinal issues. I do chair cardio, gardening, weight lifting, and stretching. I'm trading office work for treatment/supplements with a functional medicine nutritionist and pain specialist, file claims for my brother, volunteer and the food bank farm and greenhouse, and am on my HOA and active in my local garden club and community garden. If I'm not doing something with plants my nose is in a book plus I love music (especially metal) and going to concerts when I can.

I'm in charge of logging everyone's weigh-ins, please try to weigh in on your day as often as possible. If you're out-of-town or having surgery I get it but for the most part we're expecting people to weigh in as reporting someone NOT weighing in takes twice as long! Keep in mind the weighing in part is a friendly competition, you are NOT bringing down the team if you gain or don't lose and no one is mad at you, most of us aren't new to weight loss and the compassion and understanding shared when one needs to vent or figure out what could be causing issues with their plan is amazing here. I personally would've fallen off the wagon years ago if it hadn't been such a safe place to talk with friends. If you'd like to change your weigh-in day please let me know and I can request having you moved. If you DO need to miss a day you have the option of just using your last weigh-in. The spreadsheet week starts on Sunday so please try to get weights in by then or you'll be marked as not weighing in. If you don't weigh in for two weeks without checking in you will be dropped from the team. If you're dropped and would like to come back we'd love to have you back, just check in with your starting weight at any time during the month and I can ask to have you added back to the team. I see this was covered already but wanted to add it.

For easy reading please try to log your weigh in like this:
    Weigh In Day
    PW
    CW

You're fine just logging in your current weight too if you'd like.

    Let's have a wonderful February!

@laurelfit57 Awesome job still working out, I wouldn't want to go out in that cold either and love that you still got a good workout at home. Great news on feeling better too that's great! Get today logged, you got this. I'm glad you were able to spend some time catching up I can tell by your post's mood you're doing better.

@19shmoo69 Teresa's mom is doing awesome with carnivore feeling better than ever and I'd said how you've reported the same, that's all you missed. You have a blessed day too!

Go Mission Slimpossibles in 2nd place for the last week in January! Great job @sleepygirl79 @morenin @trooworld for leading the pack!

Wow Mission Slimpossibles in 1st place for January that's incredible! And @AprilRaineyBattle and @TeresaW2024 stayed in the green for all of it, you all crushed it! @AprilRaineyBattle @trooworld @TeresaW2024 you're doing incredible! @AprilRaineyBattle your percentage is amazing woot woot!

HI team! I caved and started a tray of peppers and a tray of basil, I set up my new seed starting stand and lights (my table will still be tomatoes). I ran out of my sterilized starting mix I make so that should come tomorrow. Still trying to wait longer for tomatoes since they get so big fast and even though I'm zone 9b we really don't get them out until May. I DID order more medicinal herbs plus things like goji berries and a moranga tree. I'm more interested in increasing medicinal herbs this year epecially at home but am planning to get a second garden. Did good with diet and exercise today too. Have a great Monday everyone!

Wahoooo to the Slimpossibles for being 1st place in January!! What do you all say that we do it again this month!! :star::star::star:

@lauralfit57 My life is eventful, and it needs to stop! POS is a piece of sh**. :) I just emailed my financial planner about how I’m following my heart instead of my bottom line. I’m sure she won’t be thrilled, but she works for me, and sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith! :) Yikes! It is super cold where you are! :# We are in the 70s all week, and the trees think it’s spring already. :D I’m glad you are doing much better, and your neck is improving. :)

@19shmoo69 My mom loves her Carnivore diet, too. Me, not so much because her air-frying those little steaks smells nauseating. And smelling her bacon when I’m fasting is super annoying! But there is no stopping her because, at 82 years old, she has finally lost a lot of weight and feels great! :D

@Katmary71 I find it so funny that you said you caved and planted those peppers and basil. Like you just couldn’t stop your little green thumb from doing its thing! :D I’m so jealous of all your growing knowledge! Growing goji berries and getting a Moranga tree is so cool!

Good morning! The last two days have been a whirlwind! On Saturday, my real estate agent sent me a listing of homes that fit our criteria, and there were only three homes worth considering that weren't out of town! Two were over in her current area and older and not in good neighborhoods. Then there was this ONE house that just went on the market Friday, in a nice little neighborhood and only five minutes from my church, which I had been praying for! We looked at the house yesterday, and we all loved it. There are four good-sized bedrooms, a nice kitchen, a garage, and a beautiful fenced-in backyard. This house was way above what we had hoped for, and I told my agent to go for it. We were all on pins and needles all evening, and at 8:30 pm last night, we got the signed contract!! The inspection is today, but I don't think there will be any issues. The people took good care of the house. Anyway, to my little family this is a miracle of epic proportions!! Finding a house in this area on day one and having it accepted is unbelievable. And yeah, it's a crap ton of money, and I'm a little stressed about having a mortgage and becoming renters, but we are also thrilled that my niece and those kids are going to have a safe future. I slept like a baby last night!! :)

    Here is the house!!

Hi everyone! A big welcome to the new team members, and welcome back to the returning members, I am so glad you are here!

I am one of your Mission Slimpossibles captains along with the fabulous @Katmary71! Our motivator is the inspiring and supportive @micaroo4 !

    CHECK-IN PROCESS
Along with our weekly weigh-ins, we REALLY encourage our team members to participate in regular check-ins. It’s a great way to stay accountable to yourself and it allows the team to cheer you on and offer support as you need it. We are a community, and we are stronger together!

    CHANGES TO YOUR WEIGH-IN DAY/WEIGHTS
If you have any changes to your weigh-in day or reported weights, be sure to tag @Katmary71 who handles all of that stuff. She also handles moving people to cheerleader status/or other status changes.

LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Please share a little bit about you: your name, where you live, and what brought you to the Fat2Fit Challenge Group. Also share anything else you would like to, including any goals for the year. We are here to support and cheer you as you go through your weight loss adventure!

    MY INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband, cute one-eyed pirate pug named Daisy (9 yrs old) and pug pup name Violet who is 2 yrs old. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. At my highest weight, I was 257 lbs. I just had gastric bypass surgery on Dec 20, 2024 to save my life. I had to do something fast as I was losing my mobility. I hope to get down to around 165 lbs, or whatever is healthy for me. For exercise, I like to walk with my husband and friends. Up until my surgery, my arthritis in my knee limited me a lot. I am doing a lot better since surgery. Besides walking, I do water aerobics. My husband and I love to cook, I've got 9,089 recipes saved but who's counting? LOL Seriously, I do and they are all organized, so if you need a recipe for ANYTHING, let me know! I've got everything from healthy foods to pet treats to recipes for cleaning supplies. My hobbies: reading, making artwork and crafts, photography, and cooking. I do straight-up calorie counting of healthy foods.

Now, it's your turn! Tell us about YOU!

Way to go, team! We achieved 2nd place! A special shout-out goes to @sleepygirl79 and @morenin for leading the way! And Woot Woot! We reigned in January!!! 1st place, wow awesome. @AprilRaineyBattle and @TeresaW2024, 5 weeks in the green! Way to go!

@laurelfit57 Congrats on the loss! Yes, I believe you are right! Those are huge wins. Oh those Doritos did drive me insane lol. He got another bag yesterday (my favorite flavor) but it was a small bag that he ate in one sitting. The straw thing: it can cause an obstruction which can kill me, so I will forgo the straws for a good while lol. Thank you! I wish it were more but 10 lbs is good. I had fun in the hot tub. I don't blame you for not going out of the house! That is cold! I'm glad you are a lot better. Nice to hear from you.

@19shmoo69 Congrats on the loss. Nice to hear from you.

@Katmary71 I hope your growing goes well. Cool that you are incorporating medicinal herbs! Good job with your day.

@TeresaW2024 Yeah! I agree let's do it! Woo hoo! I'm glad you found a house for them. It looks and sounds perfect! What a beautiful home.

Hi all. I didn't do too much yesterday, I didn't go to the book club or Zoom with my friend. DH and I did go to the coffee shop and then later, we went to an outdoor beer place and I had a non-alcoholic glass of wine. While there, I was inside picking out my wine and I tripped over some baskets that were on the floor and fell straight on my face. It was a cement floor. Luckily, my hands flew up and I caught myself before my face hit the ground. I'm totally fine but my ego is bruised pretty badly lol.

@katmary71 definitely doing better :-). Are the things that you are growing already at your place or out at the farm? Good work on the diet And exercise yesterday.
@TeresaW2024 LOLi thought POS was a legal term 🤣. 70°, I can't even imagine!! That house looks absolutely beautiful, to find it so quickly is amazing! Fingers crossed the inspection went well

@trooworld That's crazy about drinking through a straw! At the rate you are going you are definitely going to reach your goal weight in 2025, that's pretty exciting to think about. I am so glad you are OK after that fall! That is most often true, our pride is hurt more than the actual injury🤣

Our weather continues to be for the penguins! We are going to stay this cold all week, by the weekend we are going up to -16 and then back down for next week😭. I cancelled on the gym again this morning, I should have gone tospin, when I see it is -38° I just don't want to leave my house. I canceled, my daughter went and she said the class was full!
The only thing I did today was get out for a bit to take the dogs over to the training space for an hour. They are seriously driving me bananas! I wish I had Ty treadmill trained, I can barely get her up on it when it's not moving 🤣. I have just started up again with Vannie on it, she's not a fan right now but she will get used to it again.
I made up a huge baking pan of root vegetables for the week, I must say they were delicious!!
That was about it for my day, I spent a lot of time training and playing with the dogs , Vannie has so much pent-up energy she was actually shaking. I played hide and seek with them for a while, at first they were having a hard time finding me and then they started cheating and tried to follow me before I could hide🤣.
I tracked my whole day again today :-). Exercise was OK

@TeresaW2024 Thank you! I've bought a moranga seedling and killed it so I'm trying again. I'm excited for your niece and family it sounds perfect! You're an incredible auntie.

@trooworld Are you recipes organized on a Pinterest Board? I'm guessing they're on your computer with how fast you're able to share recipes, you DO have the best recipes! Your intro having such a big change like being able to walk since surgery really makes me so happy for you. Yikes I'm so glad you caught yourself when you fell, how scary!

@laurelfit57 The plants I mentioned last night are at home, I have a room with an indoor stand and table for starting seeds. Right now I'm only doing the greenhouse for the farm because of the cold but the peppers and tomatoes have already started there. It would be so hard to go to the gym in that cold! Yum your root veggies sound delicious! Sounds like you got some great exercise with the pups, I hope you got some energy out of them. WTG on tracking!

Hi team! Had a good day of running errands followed by working out and doing some work then just finished dinner, I made my roommate and I chicken sausages and salad. Going to start a new book in a few, have a great Tuesday!

@TeresaW2024 – That’s great about the house! Prayers that it will be everything that you all need. House buying can be stressful so its really cool that things are falling into place the way they are.

@laurelfit57 – Oh my! I cannot begin to imagine that type of cold. We had temps in the 70s this weekend.

@Katmary71 – What type of tomatoes do you grow? I tried my hand during quarantine with some cherry ones and did get a few that I saved from the birds and squirrels. I was thinking I may want to try again with a bigger variety.

I've been absent minded-ish due to work with end of the year audit stuff requiring overtime, plus still teaching step at both gyms. What a January!! Congrats team and all on the leaderboard/honorable mentions!

I don’t know that I will ever see numbers like that again but I am happy with January as a whole. I finished the Whole30 elimination phase and will be working on reintroducing things (slowly). First up is beans. I had a small amount of black beans with my taco salad yesterday and a little hummus with my veggies for a snack today – so far so good. I’ll wait another week or two before I try something else.

I was up .4 on the scale this morning after having started 21 Day Fix Extreme yesterday I guess. I didn’t get a blackout bingo goals card for January but I did get bingo 4 ways. I “won” a Beachbody year membership and 20 lb dumbbells to help continue my fitness goals. Now on to February with new bingo goals and hopefully I can get a blackout card this time.

    Hi Slimpossibles! 👋
I'm back. I stopped tracking for a little while and lost motivation due to stress and sickness. But I am back with more determination than ever. I gained back a few after these last couple months. But I wont let that stop me. You are all very inspiring as you continue on this journey. Hope I can also motivate you all 🌟 ❤️
