How do you determine your weight loss goal? I was obese most of my adult life until losing 120lbs through Atkins 20 years ago. I maintained until hormones (thyroid and menopause) plus the closed gym of Covid aided my gain of 50lbs.
I've been losing well on semaglutide and am down 43lbs. My original Goal was to get to 160lbs (I'm at 177 currently) which would give me a cushion as I regain about 10 lbs. My plan was to settle in around 170 long term.
I had not been working out most of my weight loss. I know better, but it's been a rough few months and I just could not make a gym routine consistent. I feel like I am in a better place now and just started lifting weights again this week. I have added walking back and do 3-4 days a week of that. I think the key to maintaining the losses will be vigilence with calories and working out.
I just wanted to see if anyone else had a maintenance plan and was getting close to transitioning off of the injections. I've read about people staying on the med indefinitely to maintain but that is not my plan. Between the cost and the way I just feel "blah" on it, I don't want to stay on it. I'm sticking with it through my goal of 160ish but not beyond.
Looking for friends and others who can share their plans or experience.
