OT - Football Talk - End of season wrap-up

The 2024/2025 football season is over. Any final thoughts on your teams going into the offseason? Are you already engaged in basketball games, college or pro, or are you waiting for baseball season? Pitchers and catchers are already reporting. I suppose some of you northerners are also watching hockey. Then there is the old saying here in Texas: "There are two sports seasons - football season and spring football season."
Thanks to everybody who participated in the weekly football talk. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Did I see that Texas canceled its spring game? Nebraska too, although maybe neither of those are final decisions. These coaches are living in fear of the transfer portal and big-time NIL dollars.0

I am a big fan of English soccer, and that runs from August thru May. And, baseball is my favorite sport. So, I am pretty much set year round.
While I used to follow American football religiously - growing up in Texas and all - living in so many parts of the world, my fandom has faded over the years. And, then, there is Jerry Jones. Have I mentioned that I don't like him?
I haven't followed the NBA much since the 1990s; but, I truly love March Madness.
I am not averse to watching the NHL.

I am in a down time till March Madness begins, I kind of like the NCAA tournament for the sake of the upsets that take place every year, after that over I will be very content with baseball season till the fall and I can beging the cycle all over again.
Thanks God the Rodgers experiment is over for the Jets. Any thoughts on what happens in KC if both Andy Reid and Travis Kelce really do retire?

I’m satisfied that the Patriots got their quarterback (may he stay healthy) and their coach, and can reasonably aspire to mid-pack next year. If they are still playing meaningful games in week 16, the season will have been a success. Very curious to see how they approach the draft.
And I’d never suggest tanking, but Lordy that #1 pick would have been valuable trade bait! Now, the top three drafting teams need quarterbacks, and there are really two available.
It will be interesting to see if Caleb Williams can develop into a good quarterback with better coaching. I’m fascinated to see what the Jets do at quarterback post-Rodgers, and can only hope it’s something very Jets-like. Is there a pool open on how long Schottenheimer retains his position as coach, and what’s the over/under on how many games the Cowboys win next year?0 -

Jerry Jones does a lot of things wrong, but he does not have a quick hook with coaches. Way too early to know what the teams will look like next year. As strong as the Eagles were this year, teams don't don't repeat winning the NFC East.1
