These smart watches

Has anyone tried one of these smart watches that supposedly give you a BG reading? Do they work?

I am interested in them, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I did some research, and the FDA says they don't meet requirements for reliable readings. I am still interested.

You know, when I tried to go to that site Norton told me it was dangerous.
I'd love to pull the trigger on a blood sugar watch that can be delivered via USPS - as Fedex UPS doesn't deliver to me. And one that supposedly works. Tired of sticking my fingers and going through all those test strips.

I would love to hear more if anyone ends up trying one. I, too, am tired of finger sticks. I've read they aren't accurate enough yet as 2t9nty mentioned.

I am considering taking one for the team and trying one, you know, "just for science."
One of the challenges with these things is you look to the reviews, and you don't know to what extent they are "astroturf."

i would happily buy one if I could get it delivered via USPS. But when I asked the Sherum customer service (which is in Hong Kong) how they delivered, they never got back to me. And the site for the other watch comes up as being dangerous via Norton security. So I never looked at it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these watches do not work. I looked on Amazon thinking there might be some reviews, and any of the devices which claim to have "no-prick" glucose readings seem to be missing the feature or broken in some way with reviews.

My feeling is that if they are in any way reputable, they would have some US based distributor. Sherum, which advertised their watch on Fox, says it was US designed, but in communicating with them, the company is in Hong Kong. And the claims for the watch as to blood sugar differ as to what site its on. Amazon advertises the same watch, but I don't believe the blood sugar feature is claimed there. It's not expensive, so I would have happily pulled the trigger if I could just get some sense it worked at all. But I honestly don't know that it does or would test for blood sugar or would be accurate. There's a few other watches around, from sketchy origins that make this claim, but none that seem plausible at this point. However, I follow up no those that I come across.

It does seem that legitimate medical device companies are working on this.
