Good morning team! Today, April 24 is National Scream Day 😱!!

    IMG_5521.jpeg

This day is dedicated to the benefits of screaming to relieve stress and improve psychological well-being. Screaming as a treatment method began in ancient China. It allows you to release emotions and it’s actually fun. Studies have found that screaming can improve your physical strength as well! So find a safe place (alone in the car works for me) and scream it all out! Or put on some heavy metal music and scream away!!

It’s also National Pigs in a Blanket Day, but we’re not celebrating that, agreed?!😂😂😂

Growing up pigs in the blanket meant holubky (stuffed cabbage). I was in high school before I realized it was something else entirely to others 🤣

I'm guessing holubky is much better than pigs in a blanket.

My 15 year old has been expressing interest in bulking up. He is very skinny, 5' 5.5" and 92lbs. He is perfectly healthy, just prefers healthy snacks and also forgets to eat, and a super fast metabolism. Wish I had that struggle, haha. Anyways he has been trying to eat more and experamenting with weights. Like most he was pretty lost, so I introduced him to P90X. He seems to be pretty into it. Excited to see where he goes with it. I think now that he is older, je is just tired of being the skinny kid among his friends. Since I got him started, I decided to go back and do p90x again, and holy cow, I forgot how hard it is. I came out shaking. Finished legs and back but only half of ab ripper.

    Thursday weigh-in

    SW: 255

    PW: 218

    CW: 215.3

    ⬇️ 2.7

I've been avoiding my beloved dairy (I am allergic) for just a few days now and I am literally depuffing. I guess this explains the sudden weight gain/ puffiness!

@Tomsgal1985 everyone is an important part of the team. A little gain doesn’t change that. I hope you decide to stay.

    WEEKLY REFLECTION

I'm super excited with this week's weigh in. I leave the overweight category at 141, according to BMI (I know it's not super accurate, but it's been a big goal of mine).

I didn't do too much to earn the loss this week, though. I haven't been exercising, and I've been aware of my food intake, but haven't been tracking. So I kind of feel like it's just a temporary drop due to fluctuations, not actual weight/ fat loss. I guess we'll see what happens in the next week.

Planning to get back to the gym today and start tracking my food. I fell away from my good habits while sick last week/first half of this week and have been having a hard time getting back into it.

Booking in with a nutritionist for some extra support. I think I fall down in the evenings and could cut out an extra 200cals. After I get my son and husband to bed I make myself tea and toast or a smoothie and watch some TV. It is an extra, after my meals and it's usually around 10pm. If I could stop eating around 8pm I think I'm would feel better. Argh! The mental time I spend trying to do this....
