Hope you are having a good day and a good week. Today there was some sort of accident or drama on the highway so it routed me wayyy out the way to avoid it and it worked out. I was moving most of the time and I wasn't late for work! Phew!
Work is on the quieter side which is nice. Wednesdays tend to be the quiet day around the office. Fine by me.

Good, glad your work project is progressing well.
Today's commute was back to normal and I was able to arrive a little before 9:00am, which makes me happy!
It has been so chilly at night here and windy during the day. Today on the local weather the weather person said "April starts on Monday!" LOL We can't wait! Would love to start walking when possible but tough to do that when it is rainy / windy / cold.
Got in this morning and received a change to a presentation that we are doing at 11:00am ET. WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE TO BE SO LAST MINUTE!? Sighโฆ Hopefully that is my only complaint for the day!

Weather here has been lovely. I have had the chickens out twice this week. They are getting spoiled. Tonight the men-folk are going to mow the grass. Loving the spring weather! Allergies are clearing up today, so bonus!
Thursday is just my favorite day of the week. It is fairly quiet in the office, all the weird things that popped up on Monday and Tuesday are fixed, I get a ton of things done, AND it is Friday Eve!

Aww, that is cute about the chickens being able to get out @KateNkognito! My Aunt and cousin have a coop at their house up the line from us. Good too, with the price of eggs being crazy!
Yes, I had a good Thursday too. It was not too busy. I am kind of caught up at the moment, waiting for next week when another small project will happen.
Yesterday during lunch I went for a good 20 minute walk in our parking garage. I like to do that when I can. Good to get the legs moving and to burn a few calories.
Today is a work from home day and it is quiet. My favorite type of WFH days! I am looking out my front window and I can see a bunch of squirrels running around and up the tree and down. I wonder what is going on in their little minds. :)
I am down two pounds this week, which makes me very happy! I am almost at 20 pounds down. Been a slow decline, but they say slow and steady wins the race.
We are headed to my BF's parents house on Saturday and we will see the family friend who is visiting from FL. Speaking of Florida, only a few weeks away!! Time flies.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! This has been a bit of a long week.
Planning on doing a bit of gardening this weekend. It is supposed to be lovely out and then cloudy and rainy at the beginning of next week. I like to plant things when it is going to be cloudy the next day. It seems to help them recover faster. ๐
Finished my portion of the project and am working on someone else's section to help them out. It is a nice quiet Friday around here. Sometimes Fridays are a little weird, but not today.

This was a very productive weekend. Got all caught up on errands and laundry and then did some gardening. However, my legs are very sore today! It wasn't the clearing out the garden that got me, it was spreading the 4 bags of mulch that just killed me. ๐ต LOL BUT it looks so much nicer, so I'll take the win!
@Meghan509 I hope you had a nice weekend and a nice time visiting.
Oh! I am SO CLOSE to 25 pounds down! I am doing a 48 hour fast. Hoping to fix my digestive upset and kick myself past this little plateau. Fingers crossed!

Thanks @KateNkognito! I am right behind you with almost 20 pounds down! Definitely feeling better and seeing changes in my clothing which is exciting! Couple more weeks and I will be in a bathing suit. Oh joy!
Our weekend was nice. We did get to BF's parent's house on Saturday night. He got to see an old family friend who he basically grew up with and I got to meet her for the firs time. She was staying with his parents and basically has known him since he was a little boy. Their parents were good friends and the Dads worked for the same company. She lives in Florida and they had not seen each other since the late 90's / early 00's!
Hope your fast goes well and you get some recovery from all that mulching and garden work. We had a rainy weekend, almost all rain except for a few hours yesterday afternoon. Today is beautiful and we should have a good week ahead. The schools around here are closed this week which is nice. Less traffic!

Happy Tuesday!
Busy but good here. Traffic was not too bad. There were pockets of lighter traffic or when I was able to drive the full speed limit or more, which was nice! Made it in on time and with time to spare.
Looking like another nice day out there today. Since I am in a high rise building I can't see the full affects of what's happening outside but it is bright. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little cooler. We filled up our bird feeder outside yesterday and the squirrels were very happy. LOL

Finished my fast. I was down below the 25 pound mark, but I will probably bounce back up a bit. I am super tired today. Stinky dog got me up in the middle of the night because he wanted a snack. ๐ฒ Today has been very long and pretty productive.
The weather is very spring-like this week. Cool and rain off and on.

Yes, spring like here too. Though today is our coolest day of the week. I think they said 80 F on Saturday?! Woot!
So we were planning to keep it low key for Easter if his parents didn't feel like hosting us. Yesterday BF's good friend and wife invited us over if we were free. So turns out we may be going over there place for Easter if his Mom doesn't feel like cooking! Either way is fine by me. Honestly figured we'd just stay home and cook a small meal but it is nice to be invited somewhere!
Today's traffic was not bad at all. I don't think I hit the brakes until I was less than a mile or so away from my exit. Not bad. Work is quiet today. Today's when a lot of folks work remotely, but fine by me. Less people in my hair!
That is pretty much it from here. We do have a cake this afternoon for a colleague who's about to have a baby girl. I am planning to ask for a small piece (otherwise people harass me LOL) and will only have a few bites. Trying to stay focused on my clean eating!

I rebounded a bit, but only to right at 25 pounds down. I am happy with that. Had breakfast this morning and I will have lunch and then skip dinner. I am not terribly hungry, but I am cranky, so I thought my coworkers would appreciate it if I had carbs and didn't go on a rampage. LOL
Not sure what we are doing for Easter. Probably the usual kabobs and a chill day. It is supposed to rain all weekend. I love rainy weekends!
@Meghan509 I think all the traffic left you and found me. My commute was not great today. Yesterday I cruised through every light green and today I hit them all red. PLUS there was construction. ๐ Glad you got the easy commute today, though. ๐

Sorry to hear about your traffic! Argh. Today was another good one, the best so far. In the office in less than 30 minutes. I think people are off tomorrow and making it a longer weekend. Must be nice! LOL
Funny about Easter. BF and I spoke about it last night and he's like, "let's just stay home!" Don't have to tell me twice! The thing is we've done a lot of driving back and forth between his parents (NYC Burroughs) and CT where we live. 40 miles each way with a lot of volume and traffic at times. Stressful. ๐ So back to me making some fish and veggies. :) In two weeks we will need to make the drive again so we can park at our friend's house and then drive over to the airport to head to FL.
I hear you about rainy weekends, they can be nice because it means relax, catch up, or do nothing and be happy! LOL We are actually on tap for a really nice weekend here. Slowly warming up and acting more like spring. It's about time! LOL I hope to take a walk or be outside in some way this weekend.

Not much other news here. Just sailing toward the weekend. Today is supposed to be in the 90s F, then drop to the 60s for the next week or so.

It has been SUPER quiet here today. Not going to lie but I have been making my grocery list, cleaning out my personal email, and doing my online banking. โบ๏ธ Today's pay day. LOL
We are sitting at a sunny 64 degrees F here and it feels nice. Since it is sooo quiet I am going to sneak off at 3:00pm and call it a weekend. My boss has been on vacation all week since the schools are closed, so that makes it even more dead! Planning to get a jump on the grocery store which basically frees up the rest of the weekend. Two weeks from now we'll be packing for Florida!! Got to start taking out the summer clothing and shoes. Oh boy!
Salmon, potatoes, and broccoli on tap here for Easter dinner. Oh and of course a bottle sauvignon blanc, my favorite white wine.

Happy Monday! It is a quiet day here, a lot of people are gone, on top of those that regularly work from home. The sun is shining and it is supposed to be very nice today. I might take the dog for a stroll this evening.
We had a nice Easter. We stayed home and had a nice meal. I made fresh bread and my husband grilled kabobs. It was a sleepy, cloudy day. Very nice.
Watching the live cams on explore dot org. I love to watch all the different critters.
@Meghan509 I hope you had a nice weekend! I got my ID, so I am all ready to pack for Florida!! LOL I am looking forward to the trip. It will be nice to get away for a wee bit.

Hope you had a great Easter!
We had a nice relaxing weekend and Easter. Saturday was really warm and sunny so we went to a new walking trail that we had not been to before. This is one in an adjoining town. We will definitely be going back there and it is a little hilly in spots too. We took it easy and didn't go too far because we knew we'd feel it the next day and we did! LOL
Sunday was relaxing. We were kind of bored in the afternoon so we decided to take a drive up to BJ's to pick up a few items. It was a good day for that. The store was empty! The highway was quieter too.
I made a sheet pan salmon, white potatoes and roasted broccoli. It all comes together will only around 30 minutes cooking time. Came out great. We have a second portion for dinner during the week. I am definitely going to look in to more sheet pan dinners! So cool!

We have a lot of people visiting from other offices today, so there are a lot more people in the office then we are used to. All good!! Nice to catch up with people that we don't see as often.

I just realized the day is almost over and I haven't posted, yet! I was on fire this morning, this afternoon, not so much. LOL
I managed to dodge the traffic snarl this morning, it popped up and I was in the correct lane to jump off the highway and skirt around. Only took me a couple extra minutes. ๐
The office is very quiet so far this week. I am guessing everyone will be in with great enthusiasm and volume tomorrow. ๐ฎ

Today is Administrative Professionals Day and we were given a nice flower arrangement! They are also taking us out to lunch in a week from now. Looking forward to that!

Our office is back to being quiet again. Only one woman here with us, visiting today. The rest went in to NYC for meetings. My other newer guy, the one who's relocating from KS is at the DMV trying to get his registration switched over. He went yesterday and got his driver's license, but he needed one more paper for the registration. Crazy!
Both today and yesterday have been super super heavy with traffic and I can't figure out what's going on. Sigh. At least I arrive on time which is good. Good thing I allow extra time. Ugh.
I am going to try and sneak out a few minutes before 5pm tonight because even the evening commute has been busy!
But, not to end on a negative note! The weather is sunny and warm again today. No rain in the forecast until Saturday. Weeee!
Drinking some water and having some herbal tea. Been fasting (aside from coffee with milk) during breakfast to keep my daily calories a little lower. Hope you have a good day today! See you soon. :)

This has been a really good week, so far. I have gotten a lot done. Not a lot of things going on. Weather has been good. Prayers that it keeps it up. OH! And this morning traffic was AWESOME and I got really good gas mileage.
This afternoon youngest has a track meet. Hoping that the weather is clear just long enough to get everything in.

You are lucky with the traffic! Me not so much. Today was once again bad. Started out with an accident right around the corner from my house! Not even the highway (that was busy too). OY! One more commute and then nothing until Tuesday. I need a break. LOL
Work is quiet again. Not much going on. Just waiting for people to get back to me on stuff. I can't complain. I may actually step out for a bit during lunch to go to the Post Office (for work) and then I might take a walk around the parking lot.
I specifically wear comfortable shoes or sneakers on Thursdays, in hopes of getting out for a walk!

Work was pretty quiet for most of the morning yesterday. Mid day I went out and did the Post Office run and I am glad I did because it was soo nice out. Sunny and warm and finally spring. Today is nice too.
Planning to go to the grocery today after work, so I can beat the rain coming through tomorrow. Also want to have a better chance of finding good Chobani flavors, since it just went on sale for this week! I know, nerd. LOL ๐ค
Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend! We will be pulling out the summer clothes and shoes and getting ready for Florida. Eight days away!

Congratulations on the loss @Meghan509! That is great! And shout out to your BF, too! I had to LOL about your nerd comment, I go in the morning on Saturday so I can get there before other people and get the things I want before they run out, too. ๐ค This weekend we are going to start the packing process. My son needs new dress slacks for the trip. And we both need new suitcases.
Today was exceptionally quiet, even for a Friday. This whole week has been pretty chill at work. I'll take it! I was able to blast through a TON of stuff and I think I am going to be able to get a lot next week, too.
I have to water my plant and then tidy my office and I am out of here! Have a great weekend!

We pulled out my summer clothing, shoes and bathing suits. What is left is pulling out the SPF. Can't forget that! BF is easy. He has less clothes and everything is stored in his dressers, vs. in boxes in the basement like me.
We got an automated phone call on Friday night from our airline. The moved us to an earlier flight, one that leaves at 9:30am. Now that doesn't sound too too bad, but it means that we have to leave our house early in order to make it to our friends house, drop off our car, and then arrive at the airport by 8:00am at the latest. We do have the option of switching to another mid day flight at the other NY airport, but we figure why not just suck it up and go early. Means we should get down to FL mid day.
My Mom is about to get out of her rehab facility tomorrow. She's been there for what seems like almost a month now, doing physical therapy and getting back on her feet. She is looking forward to seeing us.

This weekend I got partly packed. I realized I don't have a bathing suit anymore. Gotta go get one sometime this week.
@Meghan509 SO glad your mom is doing better! And perfect timing for you to get to see her after she gets settled back in. ๐ I would take the earlier flight, too. I don't have a lot of clothes, so they all live together in the closet and a couple of dressers. I know I had a swimsuit. No idea what happened to it. Maybe it just got old? (more likely I got old and just don't remember)

Well, I had an exciting drive to work. There was an impaired driver in front of me and I had to call 911 twice. Fun times.ย Other than that, it is a very boring type day, which I don't mind at all. I am getting some things done this week before I am gone next week.

@KateNkognito good luck with finding a new bathing suit! You should have enough time to get one on Amazon. I have gotten some good deals on there for suits. The current suits I am wearing lately are from Target. Another good one. Lands End is good too, but you would probably need more time for items to arrive. Their quality is pretty good too. I am still in my No Clothing Shopping Era while I am trying to lose these pounds! ๐
Calling 911 for an impaired driver!? Oh dear, that does not sound good at allโฆ Hope everybody arrived safely. UGH, what is it with people on the roads today. So frustrating. ๐ก

Wednesday is here. The week is going by quick, I do have to say.
Traffic was busy but moving today. We have a lunch today to celebrate Assistant's Day (last Wednesday) and we are heading over to a fancier steak restaurant by our office. I have "skipped" breakfast to save calories for a decent lunch. :) Looking forward to that. Sunny and warm here again. I do love my spring! Just a little over a week away from my birthday. May 9. Looking forward to celebrating while relaxing in the pool. ๐
Pretty quiet so far at the office. A lot of my folks are traveling this week which is so nice!!
