I'm up 0.4 pounds. Just bouncing around in the same range these days without having my head in the game. I've been pretty distracted with getting ready to move and spending pretty much all of my time cleaning our house out (we're moving from a house to a small two-bedroom apartment). I'm getting a lot of steps in, at least! The problem is that I'm having too many snacks at night and too many glasses of bourbon, the latter of which is being rationalized as "I need to empty out all of our liquor because we can't take it to Israel!" OK, that may not be the best rationalization but the reality is that I'm feeling very stressed by the time pressure as the movers are coming to take our stuff on Tuesday (it takes 3-4 months for our stuff to get from here to Israel). After that are multiple rounds with an auction house taking portions of the stuff that's not going to Israel, stagers coming to set up the house, and then all of the other steps required to get the house on the market. Whee!

If I get my run in this morning, which I plan to do, I will have had the first "full" week of running (Sun-Fri) I've had in a few weeks. My various aches and pains have been improving, so that's a positive at least!

Lots going on in Steve-ville, for sure!

I had a four day trip last weekend, which presented challenges - but having my head in the game certainly helped. I was committed to my Red Zone plan, and have continued to do so. The results for the four days?

    • Thursday 20 points, 1755 calories, lots of protein for the day.  Got in 30 minutes of act
    • Friday 29 points, 1900 calories, an hour of activity.
    • Saturday 28 points, 1700 calories, an hour of activity (plus all the walking and stairs at graduation.)
    • Sunday 14 points, 1500 calories, one hour of intentional activity.

At my official weekly weigh-in Thursday evening, I was down 4.4 and weighed in successfully as “Free Lifetime” for the month. That’s still in the Red Zone, but just 0.4# from being in the Yellow Zone. I’m pleased with that progress.

Particularly as I prepare to fly out Tuesday for a destination wedding in Spain, followed by a fifteen day tour of Spain and Portugal. That will have me out of touch until 6/9, since I get back 6/8 in the late evening. I haven’t decided on my food plan for the trip, other than it won’t be full-on indulgence. It will probably be some form of “two for fuel, one for food”, and I’ll try to stay reasonably close to plan. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Up 3.8lbs this week. My mind has not been in the game. I'm up about 6.8 lbs the last 2-3 weeks but down .4 lbs since January 1. I did pick up some type of upper respiratory infection and went to Urgent care this past Monday. Taking a antibiotics, cough syrup and an over the counter decongestant.

Ate fast foods 2-3 days for dinner that wasn't good for me. So what's new the struggle continues on.

Plus 0.8. I made my wife chocolate covered strawberries for Mother's Day, and made myself cashew clusters with the extra melted chocolate, thus the gain this week.

    Up .2.

I started the week off strong by diligently tracking for two days. I was feeling proud. Then on day 3, I wrecked that feeling by eating an entire bag of dill pickle popcorn and ten shortbread cookies. In case you're wondering, that was 1960 calories of junk food. I know because I tracked it. But tracking it doesn't undo it.

I'm back on track. I think.
