New to my fitness pal, looking to support and receive support to lose stubborn 15 pounds

I’m unsure how the groups on myfitnesspal work, but I welcome both giving and receiving support, tips, ideas, best practices, etc. in losing some stubborn pounds that crept up after menopause. I’m not one who typically uses an app like this, but figure why not try it? I literally just started today and logged my first breakfast (which I discovered is 450 calories). My downfall is snacking at night (a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a couple of See’s dark chocolate covered almonds). I am in the “not-that-heavy” category (normal weight for my height but on the high side). My job is sedentary but I generally log 5,000 steps a day on days when I work and double that when I don’t. I live on the central California coast. I’m just figuring out the app and wanted to reach out to say “hi!” And “help!,” lol! One of my goals is to add more protein into my meals - I found out I have osteopenia. Anyone with tips, advice is welcome! Do others here use the premium version for meal planning, and if so, how have you found it?

Hi! Been a mbf of MFP for years but only used basics. (Recording meals). I just upgraded to Premium + because I like some of the new features and have decided to join a couple of groups and learn a bit more on what MFP offers. I have 15 to lose…and it's taking me forever. Look forward to exchanging ideas, tips and support.
