Maybe I can do this moment?

I completed W3D2 yesterday with a bad knee. As I finished the first 3min run and realized that my knee wasn't hurting it made me think........ "Nothing else is hurting either. I've been running. Doesn't that mean I should be lying on the sofa complaining about muscles I didn't know I had? Yes, I've been following a solid walking program up until now, and still do on my off days. But really? Running? Does this mean I can actually do this?"

Just wondering when others had that "maybe I CAN" moment.
I think I had mine yesterday

I love the epiphanies that happen when you run. Wait till you hit week 5!

I think my true epiphany happened when I realized I could finally consider myself a runner. The day that happened my whole outlook an everything changed. The random runner became my friend. Those who were just starting out became flash backs to where I was and a show of how far I have come.

I think that is one thing runner's who begin later on learn differently than from people who started in high school with cross country or the likes. We look back at the people who struggle, give it their all and are busting their bums day in and day out to get there. We remember where we started out at and that is part of the motivation that keeps us going.

I was so totally sure that I would fail during the program...I remember having that moment. I wasn't sure what day it was, but reading your post was like reflecting on a memory. There was another day that I looked forward and thought, "There is nothing else here that I couldn't do today. That's it???"

And then you think back to all the reasons why you haven't run before now and you wonder what else you're under-rating yourself on. Where else you could take small achievable steps and not hold yourself back anymore. I think that comes a little later.
