Hi everyone

Landed back in the UK from my charity trek on the Great Wall of China last night. Exhausted but had an absolutely amazing time. The group was fantastic and our guide couldn't have done any more to make the trip any better. I have a terrible fear of heights and he was great with me, I achieved more than I ever could have imagined. I have climbed mountains by scrabbling up rocks and broken bits of the wall, scaled high narrow paths with sheer drops, climbed more steps than I ever wish to again, in one day my fitbit said we had climbed 167 flights of stairs, usually straight up a mountain! It wasn't about walking miles and miles but about challenging ourselves to climb parts of the wall which are not open to the general public and in places very unsafe! Those parts of the wall where they are fully restored are "the tourist wall", we usually climbed "the wild wall" which is the parts which have not been restored. We did do some parts of the restored walls too but we all agreed we liked the wild wall best, we saw very few people on it.

All in all an amazing life changing experience :)
