Over the spring and part of the summer, I removed gluten from my diet than of course I cheated here and there. As a result I was bloated and gassy. Anyone else find this happens to them when eating gluten.
Same thing happens when I eat dairy.

You probably have an intollerance to it. Soy can be pretty bad for some too.
I definitely notice a difference when I have it.0 -
That happened to me too, but not with dairy. I cut it out when I was about 6 months pregnant and kept with it for about 2 months, the last month of the pregnancy, I fell off the wagon... but of course I cheated here and there, but when I ate even just one meal with gluten, I felt horrible and bloated and I didn't do #2 the next day. I'm just starting to cut gluten again the past week or so and already starting to feel a bit better.0

Yes, I have. I have Hashi's and have learned that gluten, soy and dairy do this to me. Also, processed sugar causes problems in other ways. So, I've tried to stay away from all of them but it's so hard sometimes :frown:0

I have hypothyroid plus I have arthritis in my hands. I've been trying to be gluten, grain, and sugar free for about 10 months. Eliminating the inflammatory-causing ingredients help with the pain in my hands. When I slip and eat one of these ingredients, I pay for it with diarrhea, gas, and lots of burping - and my hands hurt a lot in the morning. For the most part, eliminating these foods hasn't been too awful because I like to cook and have found tons of good recipes on the internet.0

I've learned that those of us with Hashi's/hypo are often very low on magnesium and vitamin D3 - which causes extreme pain to our joints and muscles. Once I was taking these for awhile; plus eliminating (ok, mostly) gluten, soy, and processed sugar, I am pain free. Best wishes to you all0

This helps, I am hypo and have IBS. I was told I also have to stay of Gluten and wheat. I am having a difficult time with it. I do fine for a little and have no bloating ,gas or really bad joint pain then I head bad into the breads and spend a couple of days feeling miserable and in the bathroom. Yesterday I had cake for my son's Birthday and a couple other things with gluten and again over the week other things and today woke in severe pain in my joints and bloated and my IBS is really bad.........need to learn exactly what to cook I guess.0
