Is it true? I thought of you when I was reading that :). ( Because it scanned as Haricots Vert, when I was logging it in, maybe :) ).

Not sure when I started drooling over beautiful veg pics!

--never would have guessed 'French green beans' came in from elsewhere!

Ever have CSA (community supported agriculture) boxes? Hence my over flow. This week had a ginormous onion - will have to snap a pic.

Had to look up... some herbs - kept the dried chervil to try - said it has a 'licorice' note, so not sure, but will try when we roast a chicken.

    1000020821.jpg

Also received micro arugala and button mushrooms, crumbled blue cheese - added to our salad for lunch and some of the roast cabbage.

Called on the bags of mushrooms, turns out to be shitake. Enjoyed with a shrimp & avocado omelette this morning.

ooooo, that looks delicious, and it ALL sounds fabulous! So yea, I guess my palate is (ever so slowly, lol) shifting :D. I haven't done the CSA box yet! I almost did, in 2021, but I was too late to sign up. Then I wasn't home summer 2023, and forgot about it last yr. I meant to this year, but I turned around and it was already July ;-), so I missed it this year, too. Next yr for sure !!

How do you choose!? They all sound the same 🙃

I hooked up through my neighbor who has multiple community gardens for it. Or I would be unsure too. Ours is in large metro, so offers over 100 things. I would look for size and variety I think.

It has helped expand our eating beyond our typical family 'go to' regular choices.

Safari - France, how wonderful - they have such variety and artisinal items. Love that you pursue food choices that support your goals (instead of an opportunistic foodfest!)

Edit to add - opportunistic of desserts, etc - in an over-eating way.

Strikes me though, you are seizing the opportunity for lovely, fresh nourishing foods... bit of opposing mindsets there ;)

The micro greens are popping up everywhere and seem to have awesome nutrition. The arugula I had was pleasant.

@Bronzino23 - was that served cold? looks so good! The microgreens sure add a pop of color - eye candy! Lol

Celery custard? Who imagines these things? Lol

    Peri Peri sauce sounds yummy.

Trying the orange thing from the veg box. Roasting.

    1000020836.jpg

I was surprised there was an inner orange core in the stem. Not sure if a cauliflower, broccolini? Drizzled with a little tomato juice. Turned out great.

Batched cooked up more veggies - the pan was so colorful, it made me hungry!

    1000021033.jpg

Cabage, onion, peppers, carrots, whatnot. Also sauteed up shitake & button mushrooms. Makes a quick-n easy topper.

Dinner - couldn't finish the veggie medley, eyes bigger than tummy from the batch cooking of it all.

LOL, thx SG !! My food never looks like art ! 🤣

    Looking gorgeous, yakky!

And, yummmmm your airplane food looks so good, Bronzino! Happy trails, wherever you are Xx

Freg this week was smuggled freg inside burgers - each 'burger' had 0.87 svg of diced tomatoes and 1/2 an onion (both caramalized or charred, first) inside. I was going to post, but it looks more like burger than freg, so I didn't ;-). Still working the toddler angle over here - hide the veggies! 🤣

    Cheers!

    Happy weekending!

Found these fresh mushroom, peas, sweet potato “burgers” I grilled & chopped, mixed with lettuce with lime, cilantro, avocado and some EVOO.

Made a black chia berry pudding. Puréed berries and black chia- a little water to absorb chia. Extra berries on the side!

The berries were so ripe and sweet! 😋

Tried a new salmon recipe, modified a tad, turned out well. Served with lime & orange wedges, potato, corn coblet and the avocado tomato topping.

    1000021996.jpg

Made a 2nd topper/side of bell peppers, sweet onion and 1st time included 1/3 of a poblano pepper. Also turned out well.
