No reduction, but considering the week I've had, not having an increase is good.
Sarah, the new ball park is nice, but not really any larger, which surprised me. There's still a nice view of the mountains. It's farther away from our house, and of course everything costs much more. But, we had fun! It was cool temps, which was nice. I had sunblock on all over, but the shorts I wore rode up just enough for me to get a weird sunburn on a narrow space on my upper thighs where I neglected sunblock 😅 Best of all, they clobbered Sacramento 11-1, and 4 homers.
I'm thinking of you every day, and sending good, positive vibes for Monday. I know the prep is awful, and the anticipation is scary, but you can do it. Strong women can do most anything, and you are strong, body and mind.
Lois, you sound very upbeat and positive about this new program. Be sure to post here about it all . . we're here to 'listen' and support you. How are your kids doing with the new weight loss drug? I've heard a lot about those lately.
Kelly, I hope you're on track with your move, and loving the new house. It's really beautiful. Soon, you can get back to life schedules as usual, so enjoy the moments. You're making memories you'll enjoy looking back on.
My hubby's birthday is on Monday, so Sunday we're going up to a lake in one of the canyons north of here that's in a cute town, we'll have dinner at the nice restaurant there. We decided not to stay overnight . . it's not that far away, and we want to get back for the start of the week.
I hope you all have a great week.

Well possibly down 1/2 lb this week. I've been decent about logging (not the best as I'm still getting used to the new app). my sleep is improving and then not improving so I'm still so very tired and super sluggish. I felt off last night so I cancelled my training appt. I went to bed early and got more rest. Better sleep score last night, but still I'm feeling not 100%. I have dinner with my girlfriend tonight, we usually meet monthly/quarterly when she travels.
My son is down about 40lbs and doing well with the zepbound. I don't know how much my DIL has reduced, but she's only been on it a couple of weeks. But as I had conversations with the docs, this is a lifelong commitment. Once they stop they have a high probability of gaining it back. Both are aware and really working on adjusting their lifestyle to avoid gaining in the future.
Sheesh - a no change is still an achievement in my book!! So you Go Girl!! Have fun for your hubby's birthday. Sounds like a fun day trip.
Sarah - we've got you! We're still praying for you here and keeping you there. Keep us posted next week.

Sorry to be a day late. All day yesterday, it felt like Tuesday. When I logged on last night to put the last foods for the day in my diary, I noticed the new thread, and thought—"Wow. A day early. Sheesh must be going out of town on Wednesday and so she started the thread." And then it hit me. Today is Wednesday, you dork. But it was late and so I decided to wait and post today when I have no appointments!Somehow my weight has stayed steady through all this travel and these appointments, but I started that pre-surgery diet yesterday and so who knows! The good thing is that the Ensure Surgery Immunonutrition shake is actually quite tasty.
Yesterday I had my 3-month follow-up appointment with the radiation doc who took the place of my radiologist who retired in April. I think she is about 17. LOL Looks so very young! But she is very nice and answered my questions, including one radiation question that had nothing to do with my breast cancer treatments. Everything looked okay and I don't have to see her again until next June, unless something comes up. It was fun seeing staff that I used to see daily, but haven't seen in several months. When I walked in they called out, "Look who's here!" and they came out from behind the desk to give me hugs.
I won't log steps (still only getting 7 to 8K a day and some days not even that), but I'm grateful to have Dolvet since our heat index is still really crazy out here. When I get a chance, I'll average out my kcals burned. Hubby is getting anxious for me to get off the computer so we can get out and run some errands before the mid-day heat.
Sheesh, the birthday plan sounds perfect to me. Happy birthday to your hubby. Lois, I feel like you're on a good path with your program, and things should get even better once you get used to that new app. Kelly, thinking of you as you get settled in your new house and get the old one ready for its new owners. That last part is always a little sad, but change allows us to move on to new and better things. I have to work on remembering that sometimes, but I'm getting better at it.
And before I log off for now, thank you all again for all the good thoughts you've been sending my way. It means a lot. Told hubby last night, "I've known these women for 15 years now and they're an important part of my world." ❤️1 -
Sarah, it's great to read that you're keeping up with your follow-up care. I just wanted to come on to tell you I'm thinking about you and wishing you well tomorrow. One day at a time for the next little while, knowing you've taken care of yourself for many years and you will get through this, recover, and feel better in the near future. ♥️

Your lips (fingers) to God's ears, Sheesh. I've been telling everyone, "Don't pray for me. Pray for the surgeon!" Prep day is going pretty good. It's not as bad as for a colonscopy. I was allowed to have pancakes and eggs for breakfast and I get two of those Ensure surgery shakes, which helps a lot. And trust me—miralax is not as bad as those bottles of vile liquid they give you for a colonscopy.
Now that it's afternoon, I'm getting a little anxious about getting everything done that I need to do before I leave for the hospital tomorrow morning. Have to be there around 9:25. The list of things you have to do is quite intense and everything is timed. But this time tomorrow, it will be over and I'll be on the road to recovery. Thanks for checking in. I'll try to let everyone know how I did as soon as I can.
