    @minstrelofsarcasm , @lauren_989

    FYI : There was a broken formula on the WAISTAWAYS sheet that prevented the names of those who were four weeks in the green from appearing in column AK. There was only one such person on team WAISTAWAYS: jguldi11. But it appears that because of this error, jguldi11 was omitted from the "Four straight weeks in the green" section of the Grand Finale sheet.

    (I fixed the formulas on F2F June 2025 and also on F2F July 2025 and the 5-week template.)

    Happy July!

    @lauren_989 Gemwolf110 from Mission Slimpossibles weighed in late, her weigh in is Saturday and her late weigh in went from 220.4 to 220.8 leaving it needing to be edited on the June spreadsheet and the July spreadsheet. Thank you! Is there a point where it's too late to change it like now that June is calculated? The last sentence is just me being curious since I know it's a hassle to change. I always delete the last month from my toolbar a few days into the new month so the current month shows but am nosy and wondering how long into the new month we accept old weigh ins (hers was only half a day or so and is rarely late, I'm not referring to her just in general).

    Thank you! Let's have a great July!

    @frankwbrown - AustinRuadhain was listed twice on the Four Weeks in the Green chart when I looked at it, I was worried an error like that had occurred and I accidentally omitted someone. I'll make a point of saying something about it, thanks for letting me know!

    @minstrelofsarcasm You're welcome. I had noticed AustinRuadhain was listed twice as well. That's what led me to discover who was missing. 🙂

    @Katmary71 I will update the July spreadsheet and change to LWI. If it's in the same month, I will update it, but won't typically go back to June to change it.

    @lauren_989 that works I'm glad to hear that you aren't going back to the last spreadsheet!

    LittleBabeKitty returned to Mission Slimpossibles, here's her post so you don't have to search for it:

    Littlebabekitty

    Weigh In Day: Friday

    Staring Weight: 230

    Previous Weight: 216

    It posted a huge photo of her profile pic so I deleted all but the basic info for ya, gotta love the MFP updates right?

    @Katmary71 I have added her to the spreadsheet, she is at the bottom right now, but I will fix it on my computer tomorrow 😊

    @frankwbrown or anyone who knows google docs better than me: do you know why the last person on downsizers and waistaways has an error when calculating their total weight lost?

    @lauren_989 Only now seeing this. I don't see an error? Is it already fixed?
    Are you talking about LTD?

    I see it, and I fixed it. The formula for LTD for both those people was corrupted.
    There are a few situations where a formula can lose a reference (which is what "#HREF!" is saying). The solution is simply to replace the formula with a copy from a neighboring row.

    @lauren_989 On the topic of LTD:

    LTD is only calculated if there is an entry for "top weight" for the individual on the TopStartWeights tab. Is a "top weight" only entered on TopStartWeights at the individual's request, or can it default to their weight when they first join F2F?

    Would it be useful to have a list of participants who have no such "top weight" entry?

    FYI:

    • there are 15 current participants with no top weight recorded
    • there are 556 top weights for previous participants not in this month's challenge

    @frankwbrown -

    Back when "top weight" was added, the intent was for the highest weight to be submitted by the member when they joined their team, if they provided one, so it wouldn't have to be whatever they started with on MFP. It was up to the member if they wanted the milestones tracked, as I know some folks do not appreciate reminders of where they used to be.

    @minstrelofsarcasm

    I do recall being asked about my top weight when I joined my first F2F challenge. I chose to go with what was my top weight ever, which is also what I told MFP.

    A person can have a number of top weights:

    • top weight ever
    • top weight since joining MFP
    • top weight since joining an F2F challenge
    • top weight they want to remind themselves of
      • I actually understand why someone would want a top weight less than their real top weight. Not just so they aren't reminded of where they used to be, but also so they aren't tempted to "rest on their laurels" (as I did for a couple years). My top weight of 330 suggests that at ~250 something, I'm doing great. But in fact, I did great for two years and got down to 225. Then started regaining for the next two years. So now I think of my "working" top weight as ~260, and it's that against which I judge my progress. 😀☹️😕🙂
    • And finally, top weight in Maintenance! I'm looking forward to the day when I can say 220-225 is my top weight! 😂

    @frankwbrown yes, we just ask when new folks sign up or even return after a break. I only use this info for my team to shout out milestones. Although I know @minstrelofsarcasm also does it in the results section.

    @minstrelofsarcasm I noticed your use of stdev on your step challenge and was intrigued.

    I thought you might like a formula like this:
    text(average(D52:J52),"0,000") & " ± " & text(stdev(D52:J52),"0,000")

    This gives a result of the form: average ± standard deviation, e.g. "10,392 ± 2,999" 🙂

    Or, to express standard deviation as a percent, you could do this:
    text(average(D52:J52),"0,000") & " ± " & text(stdev(D52:J52)/average(D52;J52),"0.0%")
    e.g. "10,392 ± 28.9%"

    Another interesting perspective is how far an individual's actual steps exceed or fall short of their step goal: (K52-(C52*7))/(C52*7) expressed as a percent: "3.92%"

    There's a typo in the second formula above. It has a semicolon in "D52;J52" instead of a colon.
    (the editor won't let me edit it, for some reason.)

    @frankwbrown - Thanks! Based on the way Team Weight No More step results posts are formatted, that formula wouldn't end up helping us all that much (and I would rather not have to explain what everything means over and over again). I like to use standard deviation to denote who is the most consistent with their steps day-to-day, sometimes bringing in percentages just to show how close people are.

    As for comparing their step totals to their goals, that's a slippery slope. I like to congratulate people who hit their goals, but never explicitly state who misses them or by how much. The numbers are fun… however, sometimes our members internalize them as personal failings, so as much as I would love to do a full statistical analysis, I should not.

    @lauren_989 Hello! Vegan4lyfe2012 from Mission Slimpossibles would like to move her weigh in day to Sunday. I told her we'd need a weigh in for this week as otherwise she wouldn't have anything and we agreed she'd weigh in Friday then on Sunday. Is it easier for you if I come back and let you know Friday after she's weighed in for this week? Thank you!

  • lauren_989

    @Katmary71 or we could just excuse her this week and get her weight starting Sunday. Whichever you and her prefer.

    @lauren_989 She's willing to weigh in tomorrow and Sunday, I'll come back tomorrow and let you know when her weigh in has been logged so it can be moved, I was hoping to make it as easy as possible for you.
