I had something that’s a bit of a quirky NSV recently - I bought a new set of resistance bands.
What makes this a NSV? Well, I bought them because two of the heavier bands recently broke. That’s not some Herculean feat of strength, but rather a reflection of the fact that a resistance band has a finite number of expansion and contraction cycles in it. I bought the current set in October of 2023, so I’ve used them up in about 21 months. The NSV it reflects to me is that I’ve been very consistent about my daily exercise routine over that time.
It appears I outlasted the elastic! 😉5 -

I don't know if this would qualify as a NSV but I'm consistently even at my high overweight, getting a good blood pressure reading week after week.

I guess it's a NSV: I recorded my lowest heart rate the other day when I was in the waiting area before my recent colonoscopy. They couldn't set the monitor alarm low-enough to prevent it from beeping. I think that's because I've increased my running over the past number of months, and so I'm seeing the benefits of that.
