Many of us feel the need to remain connected by just signing in on a daily basis. We may have a lot to say or very little. We may say smart things, or dumb things. It doesn't matter if we're having a good day, a bad day...or something in between. We'll post our thoughts, our successes, our challenges, our insights (or lack thereof), and our support. We're here for each other. Together, we can do this!

This isn't about perfection...it's about perseverance: to persist in an undertaking in spite of counter influences, opposition, or discouragement.

Do one thing right today...whether it's drinking the liquids, eating the fruits and vegetables, taking the multivitamin, getting the dairies in, having the healthy oil, choosing whole grains...whatever.

Remember that, at its core, this plan is simple - eat a little less than you used to, eat a little healthier, be a bit more active. The rest is just finding the balance that works for you, and your friends on GOAD are here to share what's worked for them.

It's not always about the BEST choice. Make The Better Choice

Onward and Downward. Everyone is welcome!

    Good luck, Steve!

    And good morning to all.

Steve triggered a memory. When we sold our last house, the attorney we hired provided us with a multi page document of possible issues to answer and sign as a “statement under oath”. It was 2-3 times as detailed as the state-mandated disclosures. From an insurance perspective, that’s what you are asked to sign when an insurer thinks you’re lying to them on a claim. I was offended, explained why, and declined to sign - so we went to the closing and signed the documents ourselves. The other attorney asked her why we were there, and she just rolled her eyes. Sorry, but when we’ve provided all the state-required disclosures, we shouldn’t be asked to sign something more rigorous just to cover our own attorneys butt!

Yeah, it still makes me cranky . . .
