Still struggling with binging

I’m looking for tips to stop binge eating. I also think about food all the time. I want to lose weight mainly for my health because I have Lymphedema, Lipedema, sleep apnea and high blood pressure.

Usually when I experience a binge there is a trigger that causes an emotional response that causes a reaction, the binge is my reaction to the emotional response caused by the trigger. I can change my reaction to the trigger by noticing the trigger and choosing a different reaction to the emotion. Some different options besides eating are taking a walk around the kitchen table a few times, calling a friend when you need company, writing in a journal when you need to vent, take a bath/shower, workout in my bedroom for 10 minutes, anything besides eating….What triggers you to binge? I’m triggered by stress and fatigue. I also notice that some foods I eat cause me to have more cravings for those foods (like the ultra processed and sugary snacks). Once you start you can’t stop sort of thing. These foods are designed to cause that type of reaction in your body. They are made to make you want more and more and more. While you’re killing yourself with food the businesses are making exponential profits. This life’s journey is for YOU not the money hungry greedy business owners and their stock holders. Hugs to you. I hope you can find the strength to fight the binge.
