Today's Topic: Dining out? Retired but find yourself busier than you thought you'd ever be? Still working and decide some days to stop off at the local deli. Then you look at the cost of Dining out and find that wow! This is getting a bit too expensive.
Any remorsefulness or guilt later from Dining out? For any reason(s).
(I had this set up yesterday in a draft then somehow lost the whole thing and had to stay up late tonight to start it all over ) Just a busy day.

As a matter of fact today was one of those days for me. DW is out of town in Atlanta relieving a caring giver for her 90 yo cousin with no family. DW and I yesterday stopped at a Culver's after my Dr's appointment on the way to Atlanta late afternoon and we each had a burger meal deal and that was $22.00 then we topped it off with small caramel yogurt with pecans another $10-12 dollars so now we're up to about$32-$34 dollars. So today Thursday my DS and I are batching it. My work load was extremely busy right up till until 9+pm tonight. I had to go to Sam's Club late this afternoon for something and we neither had lunch so I grabbed us both the $1.38 Hot Dog and a soda special and decided I'd get us an all meat pizza $9 bucks for supper later on. No regrets about the price of course but I needed a pizza like I needed a hole in my head not to mention the hot dog. I generally do not eat pizza way too many carbs, calories or points for me.
Hopefully tomorrow Friday, will be a little quieter and I can plan some meals and get back on track. I'm really just plain tired of fast foods and really done with the whole rushing around thing.

I have noticed that the cost of dining out ha gone up by 10$ to 20$ per meal over the last 6 months or so, its enough to make us think twice before we go out or just choose a cheaper resturaunt

it’s expensive to eat out, for sure. But so is eating at home. It’s hard to get out of the grocery store for under $100 for the two of us for a week of groceries. We do eat out 3-4 times per week, so the increases haven’t changed our pattern in that area.

My wife has Long Covid so we have avoided eating out, although we get takeout food every weekend and cook at home during the week. The cost of food has noticeably increased in the last six months, added to increases during the pandemic shutdown.

I seldom eat out - mostly due to health reasons. When I do, it is pretty expensive. I mostly cook at home.
