Day one of Zepbound
I met with a weight management doctor, am doing daily Justin Augustin workouts (the doctor said 80% of my exercise should be strength training, but at my current weight moving my body is both strength training and has me huffing and puffing when done for longer than 15 min), and put me on a 1500 cal. diet wanting me to eat 100-200g protein daily and no more than 100g carbs. That seems like a lot if fat calories making up the rest, but I lost 5lbs in just over a week. Today, my zepbound arrived and I started the first dose. I am trying to do a multi-faceted approach to weight loss and health, so here’s me jumping in for some accountability!

Congratulations on starting Zepbound! 🎉 I just started too—August 1st—and I’ve also met with a weight management doctor. Honestly, I haven’t worked out since lockdown, and sometimes my body feels almost foreign to me. But I’m taking small steps, trying to ride the stationary bike 15–30 minutes a day. My doctor’s goal for me is 200 minutes a week, so I’m working my way there. Building community through all of this means everything. We’re not doing it alone—and I’m cheering for you every step of the way. We got this. 💪🏽💛
