Hi there,

Just when I thought serious binging was a thing of my past, I have had a number of increasingly serious episodes in the past few weeks. Having revamped myself as a new person (lost 23 pounds, regular workout, pretty kick *kitten* if you ask me!), I am worried, disapppointed, confused, ..and scared.

In the past few years, when minor binging occurred, I managed to do "U turns". This times seems to require more efforts.

So, as part of this group, I have decided to keep a post-binge recovery diary starting tonight. Yesterday was a bad day for me.

I hope
1. It will help all fellow members to see how I recover (I know I will, quickly).
2. To share some observations e.g. the age old debate of water weight vs real weight gain
3. As a reminder for myself, so I don't get back into the blackhole or vicious cycle (you know what I mean)

Good idea?

    Hi eso,

Thanks for posting this. Keeping a post-binge recovery diary sounds like an excellent idea to me, whether public or private.

(I am interested in seeing the "how" of your recovery method using the post-binge recovery diary, but I understand if you ever decide to move from a public diary to a private one. What's most important is doing whatever helps you be healthy the most.)

I believe you will be successful as you practice the self-awareness that keeping a diary will provide. :flowerforyou:

Thank you for your kind words, beatrixia! I intend to keep it public. I am rather lousy in keeping journals, ever since I was a kid, so with the diary a public affair, I hope it is more a conversational piece. Talk, I can do, lots!

I honestly don't think i would be back to binging. But I am also armed with more strategies and a stronger mind now. So, as I have advised others so many times, U turn, don't look back, and you will not be sucked back into the dark cycles. Sharing my diary would hopefully be the key not just for myself but others.

    Stay tuned...
