ALL-IN!!! August 2025 Challenge

All right, troops! Time to go ALL-IN!
Whether you're a beginner, in your stride, or a long-time maintainer, we all have things to work on. And if you're anything like me and this last month has been BONKERS, it's time to get more active on your challenges. Summer is winding down, and it's time for a Bootcamp. To focus hardcore on your plan's basics and to keep your body mobile, two essential focal points for the successful low-carber, or healthy human in general.
With just LIFE itself basically being unnecessarily hard sometimes and making a nuisance of itself, things are harder to do. And life can just be unpredictable and just plain stressful. Despite....NO...INSPITE OF, all this nonsense we have to deal with, we can do this! Dig deep this month and laser focus on your plan basics and figuring ways to be active. Put your whole self into this month and dig deep.
Everybody is always looking for a magic pill or plan. Well there is one key formula that I have learned in my journey which is this:
Consistency + Persistence + Time = Success
And right now PERSISTENCE is the key word for a lot of us. It is for me for sure.
You can report your progress to your goal, whether it be ultra-obsessive daily hitting your low-carb plan basics, or working on a fitness goal, or even nailing down other good habits in your life. And if you have problems or need advice or support, you'll find that here.
A daily post could look something like this.
Wed 8/1:
Logged: +1
Water:+1
Electrolytes: +1
Calorie Goal: +1
Carb Goal: +1
Exercise: HIIT +1
Prelogged next day:+1
7/7
OR, maybe if being really active is your focus:
8/1: Activity: Got up and moved around every hour during the day. Dripping-sweat yard-stomp and angry garden weeding. 13k steps.
Or you can do something less rigid and give us a verbal description of how you are faring in your pursuits. But this is your show. So focus on your basics. Whatever they are. Make this month count!
Tear it up! You've got this!

my entire body has changed over night once I hit fifty. 120 with out even trying. Now 211. I eat with in the app range we walk. But I’m still gaining. And because we live in the desert it’s a hundred or more! So sweating is the moment I leave the door open! Being a f t as s isn’t fun. Thank god I have the sweetest husband.

I’m back on low carb due to my doctors suggestion, my fasting glucose was over 100, so now I have some new goals to work towards. It back to the basics for me.. I’m not currently working towards a calorie deficit just trying to make healthy choices while I get into a routine.
GOALS:Low carb gluten free dairy free eating
80oz water daily
Walking in the AM when weather permits
Strength training 2-3x weekly
Yoga on Sundays
So far so good. It’s been about 6 days for me. I had a headache the first couple days, drank some electrolytes. Still tweaking my meals to get under 100g carbs for the day. I prefer a 33g carbs per meal balance but that doesn’t always happen. I’ve been low carb and even keto in the past. But not quite low carb gluten free and dairy free simultaneously. Still learning still adjusting.

I have regained weight I lost. It is so easy to loose focus. My plan is to eat low carb and I am gluten free. I want to be more active and to drink more water.

Another week down on my low carb gluten free dairy free eating.. 👍 so far so good. My happy scale says I’m in a deficit. Taking carbs out the diet seems to also remove calories..🤔 I’m still tweaking my macros mostly staying under 130 carbs daily, drinking 64-80 oz water and I did yoga on Sunday! still working on adding in strength and morning walks. Back to basics is the energy for August and I can say I’m doing good at getting back to the basics. Hope everyone else is finding their way.

Baconslave! I haven't been on mfp in a few years and happy to see you're still here! I've gained a bunch of weight and was recently diagnosed with pre-diabetes so here I am riding the struggle bus.

20 days low carb, or at least that’s the goal. Yesterday I didn’t do so good and ate wayyyy over carb limit and it definitely shows on the scale today. It’s probably just water weight but I sure hope I didn’t wreck my deficit with a day of heavy carbs… ugh. Still finding my way back to this low carb lifestyle.
Gotta focus on protein with every meal or snack and water water water. I’m doing a lot of things right but still working on others.
