Been making the family go out for walks with me. Today we went and explored the pictogragh caves that has old native American paintings
We went to Zimmerman Park, its at the top of some cliffs that was a hangout years ago and there a quite a few wrecked cars below where you hike down
Then there's multiple paths by the river we have went to
Thankful we have so many places to walk around here. Im going to miss the nice weather. Winter is upon us, we already had snow a few days ago. But tomorrow we are doing a 2 mile pumpkin run where the last quarter mile you have to pick up a pumpkin and carry it to the finish

Disappointed with a measly half a pound but it's still a loss.I know how this journey goes so won't let it spoil my efforts.@PatriceFitnessPal I may try the Nordic Walking 2 of my friends have joined the group already.I sometimes prefer to walk on my own as I like walking at quite a fast pace so get frustrated if someone is walking too slow π π I get a lift in a friend's car to a group walk in another park on a Monday morning.Its only an hours walk but the area is pretty to walk in & nice to meet new people.Love the photos @angmarie28 glad you're getting the whole family out together. @nancyinmiami sorry about your daughters accident hope the surgery goes OK & wish her a speedy recovery.@Pupowl glad youre feeling a little better,love the video of Tinus β€οΈHave a good weekend all !

Good morning y'all:
Yesterday was interesting (and that's me trying to be positive)β¦remember that I just got my car back on Tuesday after repairs were completed to the passenger side rear quarter of my carβ¦went outside on Friday to go and pick up some groceriesβ¦wouldn't startβ¦had to have it towed and get thisβ¦the dealership where I've been a customer for over 20 years, buying two cars from them and keeping them well maintained, DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO SQUEEZE ME IN! I was lividβ¦they just lost a customer. In any case, I called and got it in at Firestoneβ¦they let me know once it was dropped off and are doing a few maintenance things for meβ¦waiting to hear if I need a new battery or what the problem isβ¦
When it rains, it poursβ¦**shaking my head**

Sorry about your car woes @jessicakrall8! Hopefully whateverβs wrong is minor. I buy a car from a dealer and then I never go back. There are a lot of very reputable auto repair places that are fair and honest. Iβve only had bad experiences with dealerships and repairs.

Hello Shape Shifters. I had another busy day, started with a walk. It was pretty cold outside, but I was stubborn and walked in my body warmer because I knew the coat I wore on the bike would be too hot. I rather be cold if I have to choose, though I should have just dressed a bit better. I finally made it to the gym again and it feels like I have lost some progress. I ended up missing 4 strength and 2 cardio workouts which doesn't seem like it would be a big deal. I think it won't take too long to get back to where I was before, but for today I decided to do 2 sets of everything instead of 3. Hopefully I won't be sore tomorrow. After gym and lunch, I did a lot of work in the garden for over an hour. Ended up very sweaty and muddy so had another shower. Happy to be done mowing for until April or something. Enjoyed the treat puzzle with Tinus twice. The second time he was just non stop purring which I thought was funny. I had some money left over this month so I got a couple of books to read during my 75 hard challenges. I hope they will be enjoyable. Good night everyone π

Hello, Shape Shifters! I returned from Japan yesterday with my sons. My husband is staying there for another week of karate training and work. We had a wonderful time catching up with family and friends. Our younger son also worked one day, presenting some research heβs been doing on rare earth elements. He was nervous, but he prepared well and everything went smoothlyβ a big success! This was a great opportunity for him to build confidence as he continues his full-time job search after graduating in May.
I find it harder to adjust to jet lag when traveling east, so I slept a lot β both yesterday and this morning. It feels good to track my food again. I started today. I didnβt really plan to take a break from tracking but Japanese meals typically include many small plates of various foods. So, itβs difficult to estimate the calories. Generally, Japanese food is very healthy, but I drank a little more alcohol than usual, so Iβm not sure what the result will be when I weigh in this week. I may have gained a bit but I donβt expect too much of a set back β weβll see soon enough on Thursday π€·ββοΈI have a lot to do today in preparation for the work week. Yesterday, I went to the grocery store and unpacked a bit. Today, I plan to finish unpacking and get the laundry done. Iβll also work for a few hours before my soccer game tonight. Our team plays at 8:30pm.
The weather is beautiful here in northern Virginia/Washington, DC. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Hello Shape Shifters. It was pretty cold and windy here in the morning. I switched to a warmer shirt, but for some reason kept on my very thin summer pants, so my legs were not feeling very nice during the walk. I will just put all the summer pants away in storage now. It is time to switch to my warmer leggings. I was feeling awful today and I am not sure why. Very shaky, nausseated and a bad headache. I took two pills before going to the gym, but they did not do much. I adjusted my cardio workout and even with taking it easy, it felt very hard. Tinus had a lot of laptime and outside time so he was pretty happy today. Good night everyone β€οΈ

Hello Shape Shifters. I had a walk in the pouring rain this morning. I didn't mind, meant I got to test my new hat. It is a waterproof cap and fleece lined with ear flaps. Very warm and comfi and my glasses didn't get wet at all. I love having hats for every type of weather, lol! I have one for hot and sunny, cold and sunny, wet and warm and now wet and cold as well. I used to wear a cap with a beanie over it, but this hat is much nicer. I did some laundry after and Tinus had a lot of laptime again. Before dinner I got on my walking pad for 45 minutes.
