Going to check in really quickly. Today is going to be super busy and productive. I got all caught up yesterday, but then a new thing was handed to me, so I can dive into that today! At least I am never bored!
I have been doing really well this week with fasting and exercising and all the things. Hopefully, it shows on the scale soon.

Happy you are being productive and getting caught up. I am in the same boat! Lots of people traveling this week so it helps they are not being as "needy" and I am able to get stuff done! LOL
Got my jeans and cool sneakers on today at the office! Traffic was definitely lighter because of a Jewish holiday and some schools being closed.
Feeling so caught up that I have been able to do some electronic cleaning up on my computer. I like to do that once in a while. Set up folders and move stuff in and out, delete, all that fun stuff. Helps me find stuff easier when I need it.
Kind of in a holding pattern on a few things so low key day here. I don't mind…

Hope you had a good Thursday yesterday @KateNkognito! Mine ended up being a very quiet work day. Not what I expected but pleasantly happy / surprised. LOL
We have a work meeting going on at our Salt Lake City, UT office this week that I helped out on. This morning I received a ton of changes to cars back to the airport which is annoying, but seems to have leveled off. Hoping for another quiet day today.
Hope you have a good day and a nice weekend. No plans here. Definitely will spend some time outside since it will be in the 80's F. Need to enjoy it while we can, this might be the last hurrah before fall really comes in. :)

I had a super busy Friday. Everyone has had allergies like crazy and by the end of the day we were all brain dead.
I figured out the new thing that I am going to have to do for a wee bit… I think. I get started on it today. Wish me luck!
I did pretty well with eating and I am down a bit, but I think some of that is water weight. We'll see.
Off to take something for my headache and then get started for the day. Have a great week!

Today is October 6 and what would have been my Dad's 79th birthday today. Sigh… Thinking of him lately and especially today.
Planning to head to the gym mid day during lunch and then this evening I need to multi task and make a white chicken chili while bringing up clothing from the basement to sort through. Weather is changing and the time is here. My guy will help me, especially with the boxes since they are a big pain in the you know where!
Just realized I have Monday, October 13 scheduled as a vacation day. Woo hoo! Then, early November we are off to Florida for a week. Time off is nice to look forward to for sure.
My Mom called yesterday morning to tell me that a book case in her room decided to collapse at 5:00am and everything came crashing down. LOLOL So she needs me to help her find a a replacement on Amazon. Don't book cases always collapse at the worst possible time?! LOL 🤪

Thursday is actually here!!! So exciting! I am making progress on my stacks of things. One of the nice ladies took one of them, I finished another one, and now I am working on minimizing the third. Thursday is the best day!

Thanks @KateNkognito! Yesterday we had rain and the traffic was decent, no issues. Today it is sunny and cool and traffic was a pain the you know where!? LOL I can't figure it out. No accident today, just a whole lotta volume!!

Happy Friday Eve! I am taking Monday off and wouldn't you know we have a Nor'easter heading our way Sunday night in to Monday. UGH. I thought about changing the day to maybe next Friday but who knows what will happen weather wise then? I have plenty of stuff I want to get done around the house, like organizing all of my clothing and sorting all the different sizes, donating, and putting stuff away in an organized fashion. This is what happens when you have too much. Guilty.

I have been doing really well this week, diet wise. I am down about half a pound, which is fine by me. I am not in a race with anyone. I have fallen off the exercise wagon, so maybe I will work on that next week. Maybe.

Slow and steady wins the race as far as losses go. Exercise will return when you are ready. :)
We have similar plans for the weekend! LOL Aside from Saturday PM when we are heading up to a friend's house for dinner. A good chuck of my weekend will be sorting through tons of clothing in anywhere from a size 8 to a size 16. Woo hoo. Don't be jelly. LOL
Been a quiet week on the work front. If I can coast through the rest of this day, I will be happy! Looking forward to Monday off.

Monday is here! Most of the systems we use are down, so I am doing other things until they get fixed.
I forgot that the Fall Festival in our town was this last weekend. We went to the parade, I got a cup of cookies and walked a LOT. Also met my youngest's girlfriend. She is very nice. Sunday I ran my errands and did laundry. It was a pretty nice weekend.

I was able to tackle all of my clothing and shoes this past weekend. From Saturday AM through Monday PM I was working on something it felt like. I had around six or eight large tubs / bins full of clothes, plus around six "space bags" filled with clothes. I went through everything, sorted it by season, size, etc. and tossed two huge garbage bags filled with clothes at my local Goodwill yesterday afternoon. Phew. I also had to watch for putting summer clothes too far away because in three weeks we are heading down to Florida and I will need stuff to wear. Made a special box for that and left out flip flops and other summer shoes. Phew. I know I have accumulated a lot of stuff over the years thanks to having two types of wardrobes, work and casual and having a ton of weight fluctuations, plus a pandemic where I thought I would be wearing dressier clothing to the office. Thanks to Covid, we are a lot more casual and I like it. I had anywhere from a size 6/8 to a 16. My take away is I probably won't have to purchase anymore clothing for a long time.
I actually feel good about my clothing purge and the fact that I have a lot of nice stuff to look forward to wearing again. :)
We had a Nor'easter come through Sunday - Monday and this time when a branch fell off the tree it missed the car. SIGH… Never a dull moment.

Our systems are mostly up and running again today. One thing I have a workaround for until they update overnight tonight.
Someone filled out a form and made me snort my drink with one of their answers and then, just a few minutes later happened to call with a question about it, and I got to tell them I enjoyed their sense of humor. 😂 They will have to fix it, but it made me laugh.
Well, I was pausing for a moment while I waited for a couple of people to do things and now I must get back to work. Have a lovely rest of the week!

I always listen to music at work because the HVAC sounds a little like a 747 taking off. Today my computer speakers are not working and my Bluetooth won't connect. I am using wired earbuds like some sort of cavewoman. 😂
Aside from that, today seems to be behaving itself. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Must go and return calls and do all the things. I love that once people find a friendly voice that answers their phone calls they call for everything. Just because I work for a state agency doesn't mean I know ALL the things. Except I usually do, so I help them with a lot more than my stuff. Darn it! LOL I don't do taxes, though!

Things are busy but good here. Had a good productive morning and it feels less crazy than yesterday which is nice. I feel like I spent all day yesterday trying to get caught up. Almost there!

The sun has finally showed up after a nor'easter and some cloudy days. Just took a look at the weather and happy that we will have a nice stretch of sunny days and for most of the weekend.
Our neighbor's cat has been stopping by daily to see us. She demands that we pet her. LOL Literally! We are happy to oblige. Hoping she is waiting for me tonight when I get home from work.

Work is busy but not crazy. Planning to get out of here and go out and take a ride or something during lunch. My usual lunch buddy is busy today.
Tonight I have a hair appointment after work. Hard to believe its been eight weeks. We hear that she may be retiring soon and that is kind of sad - end of an era. I started going to her in 1998!! My BF also gets hair cuts from her. I have been researching new hairdressers and found one close by who seems to be good with blond highlights. :)

Well, yesterday was CHAOS. The AC in our server room is out, so they are trying to keep it cool. I am slowly freezing to death.
I did get my computer fixed yesterday, so I have sound now. Which is good, because with the AC going full tilt, my head is going to explode if I don't have noise canceling earbuds.
At least it is FRIDAY!! And since I have an appointment and my birthday is on Monday, I am going to be working from home. :)
Off to do all the things while we still have a server. Fingers crossed that they get the replacement part and/or I don't freeze to death.

Yesterday was good. Busy but not crazy. Had my hair appointment last night and found out that she is NOT retiring which is good. Her assistant is… So she is bummed about having to find and train a new helper, but she sounds like she is staying put for now. I am happy with my hair and how she cuts it so that is good news for me. Even though it is pretty expensive. Not too much I can do about that.
Today is going well so far. Busy but not crazy. Planning to hit the gym midday. No other plans this weekend aside from some stuff around the house and grocery shopping! Two weeks and change from today we will be on our way down to Florida. The month has flown by.

Hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was quiet but good. Got all of my clothing bins put back away, with the exception of the one that holds my summer clothes that I need to pack for Florida. Two weeks from now, we will already been in Florida. Where has the year gone!? My BF brought up a few of his clothing bins and he tried on his winter jacket that had been put away since it was too small. It fits! It is loose! He did have a t-shirt on, so he has plenty of space for a sweater or sweatshirt.
Working remotely today and it has been a little busy with people trying to schedule calls and change travel plans. Never a dull moment.
Since I started typing this the clouds are lifting a little and the sun is trying to come out. :)
This week will be a busier one with a lot of people in town for some meetings. Need to make sure they are all fed. LOL

I know what you mean about the cool weather. I don't mind sweaters either! Today I had to wear my winter coat when I left for work this morning. It was in the mid 40's! Funny thing is my winter coat got BIG on me. I look a little ridiculous. LOL Oh well. Don't want to buy a new coat and the smaller coat doesn't fit yet. Fun, fun, fun.
Since I hear the door bell upstairs I am going to run. Probably coming to take away the breakfast stuff. :)

Yesterday was CRAZY at work! I got more phone calls in one day than I usually get in 2 weeks! I didn't actually get to the things I needed to do yesterday until about 2 in the afternoon. Needless to say, I didn't get everything done. Fingers crossed that everyone got their talkies all taken care of yesterday and they leave me alone today. 🤞
@Meghan509 You will fit in the smaller coat in no time!! Good luck with the feeding of the masses!

Meetings are going well so far. Fingers crossed! They enjoyed the lunch yesterday. I ordered from Panera Bread. Bunch of salads, sandwiches, apples, brownies, and a lot of bread! Ended up taking a bunch of bread home. Cut it up and threw it in the freezer. Will go well with pasta and soups!
Had a bit of a scare this morning… Got a call from my Mom's facility that she was incoherent, leaning to the left, and they were concerned and wanting to take her to the ER. I said thank you for letting me know and to keep me posted. Ten minutes later another call. She was refusing to go. They put her on speaker with me and she was still sounding confused and saying she had too much to do (LOL) to go to the ER. They said since I have power of attorney whatever I say goes. I said yep, she goes… Done. Ten minutes later another call. This time it was the paramedics. They did a full stroke assessment on her and she passed with no issues and she was moving around the apartment fine and sounding normal again. Phew. Turns out, long story longer, that she had a reaction to the oxycodone that she was given for pain in her knee. They took the meds away and said the facility should be and will be administering those. SIGH. So in the end she had a reaction to the medicine and she was able to stay put. I have a headache as a result. Took some Advil and am drinking some water. Sigh… Couple more weeks and we will be there in person. Sounds like the pain in her knee is troublesome and she needs to have it replaced (again). First time was 25 years ago. Sigh…
That is my day so far. Hoping it gets better. Can only go up from here, right!

My day was so much quieter than the day before! And today seems to be behaving, so far. Hopefully, it stays that way.
My parents are coming for a visit this evening. My mom is… quirky, so it will be… interesting. My stepdad is cool, though, so I don't mind too much. We are celebrating my youngest's birthday with them. It is next Monday, but they can't make it down next week and he has class all day, anyway.
Ok, better get back to work, the pile on my desk isn't going to magically disappear.

It is already after noon here on the East Coast! Where has the day gone? The morning flew.
Thanks for the nice words @KateNkognito I spoke to my Mom today and she has finally come out of her reaction to the medication. UGH. Spoke with the nurse on day duty and she said they will make sure Mom gets the right meds at the right time.
I am thankful that we will be there soon because I like to get eyes on the situation and remind them that Mom has family watching out for her. Not everybody does. Sad.
I hope you have fun with your family this weekend! Isn't family great! LOL
We have been invited over to a friend's house on Saturday afternoon and we are looking forward to that. Otherwise a low key weekend. It is BF's turn for going through his clothing. He found a bunch of size XL and L shirts, some with tags on that he can now wear. Crazy.

I lost a pound this week. BF stayed the same. I felt smaller this week while I was getting dressed. Tummy seemed a little less "fluffy". LOL
So yesterday we had a video crew at our office shooting a compliance video. I ended up being in two of the scenes! Have to say if I hadn't lost the weight I would have NEVER done that. I had a black shirt on and dark jeans, so I felt pretty good and figured why not. They had us standing in front of a company compliance poster and another scene walking down the hall. It was fun. :)
We are heading over to our friends tomorrow at 3:30pm. Looking forward to that. Nice group of people. Otherwise that is pretty much it for the weekend plans. Will do a little grocery shopping most likely on Sunday and hit the gym. Fun, fun, fun.
The new Bruce Springsteen movie is out and I am dying to see it. Hopefully soon! We have one of those cool movie theatres around the corner from us that has reserved seating and comfy reclining chairs. They even have snacks and you can order alcoholic beverages if you want! We don't like to spend money on snacks and beverages since it seems so expensive, but to each their own.

Spoke to my Mom this morning and the woman in charge of nursing. They didn't show up last night to give her her meds. They told her she had to go downstairs to the nursing station. Really!!?? An 81 year old woman who has excruciating knee pain. Give me a break. This morning she was supposed to have acid reflux meds at 7:00am or 30 minutes before breakfast. Once again they didn't show up until much later and by that time Mom was hungry. Breaks my heart that all I can do from here is yell at them on the phone. :( But it sounds like it was a milligram discrepancy that should now be resolved. I told them I will be there from 11/2 to 11/9 so they know they better not mess around. LOL
