LW: 133.2
TW: 134.0

Sorry I did not get here yesterday to post, but I did weigh and collect my averages. It's a bit frustrating to see an increase even though my steps and burn with both better, and in fact, this was the first week since my surgery that my steps averaged more than 10K (10,447) and my kcals burned was above 1,700 (1,706). But I just report it as happens. I wonder if stress made a difference. We've had painters in the house all week and they arrive early. Since I'm not an early to bed person, I've been getting about 5 hours of sleep in the bed, and then I tend to fall asleep reading or watching TV sometime in the afternoon or early evening and get maybe an hour more snooze time, although it's not very restful. I'm also not usually a napper. Have another week of this, and then life will be a bit more normal.

We did get to the Nats game for the special good-bye ceremony for our announcer and that was fun, but a little damp. We were glad that we splurged on tickets that allowed us to watch the pre-game ceremony on a big screen inside and had seats with an overhang, so we got wet only when the wind brought some of the wetness toward us. There was a rain delay, but then there was a respite until about the 7th inning, and they just played through.

Oops, just noticed that I have five minutes to get out of the house and on my way to my class, so I will check back later.

    LW: 158.4 - TW: 156.6 - Average weight over 5 days of weighing - 157.12

Life is back to being a bit more busy again, with Ella starting hockey again (practicing but not competing yet) and Tyler working full time, but I've still managed to put myself first when it comes to my health and wellness. I'm tracking my food and hitting all my calorie, protein, fiber, water, step and movement goals. I'm killin' it lol I'm so dang proud of myself so it's easy to keep going. I still need to figure out this darn sleep though. I'm such a light sleeper and it takes me forever to fall asleep. I'm going to try melatonin for a few days and see if that helps.

Sarah - Great job on getting a bit more steps in. Slowly but surely! Stress absolutely plays a number on our bodies, including weight. Especially in our stomach areas as women. Glad to hear you got to that Nats game too.

Busy at work today but wanted to get on here to post my numbers.

    I'll check back later/tomorrow.

3rd time's a charm. User error. had the two implants done yesterday morning. Two halcion tablets taken at 8 and 9am knocked me out of for the entire day and night. I picked up pho for today and I've been able to drink some of the broth, but chewing is beyond my ability. I'm around, just not feeling very well today. I'll catch up when I can.

Happy Tuesday Ladies!! I've started a response several times over the last few days and something always interrupted me and I'd lose my notes. So I'm going to make it as concise as possible.

Implants are healing, but they still hurt. I am trying to eat (just had a breakfast sandwich) and my mouth hurts so much more afterwards, but I can't survive on liquids or yogurt. But it is healing. The sutures had come out on their own Sunday and Monday so that's a great sign. I'm still only taking ibuprofen and Tylenol every few hours as needed. Wake up in middle of night for more tylenol still… Doc has advised no training until next week as my mouth still has quite a bit of healing to do and simple chewing is still so painful (and I chew on the other side!) OH and talking hurts!! You don't realize how powerful your tongue is as it hits that area while speaking!!!

Rhea turned 7 on Sunday!!! They came up Saturday afternoon for a quick visit. We ordered from a salad type place so I opted for a kids grill cheese and tomato soup. I was able to eat 1/2 the sandwich and 1/2 the soup! (I had the other half of the soup the next day but the sandwich was now too hard to chew so it got trashed). She is a crack up. It was 85 and she wanted to go swimming. I still had a bathing suit so her mom said she'd watch her. She was tentative getting into the water (it was quite chilly), but she was determined to swim, and she did - for almost an hour! Crazy girl. I drove down on Sunday to go to lunch with her and her parents to celebrate. We went to Texas Roadhouse (had 1/2 bowl of chili and 1/2 cup mac/cheese - had the other half yesterday for lunch). She got on the saddle as everyone yeee-hawwed her for her bday. (She was nervous about sitting on the saddle before we got there -but she was a trooper). She's having her bday party this weekend (grandpa had a tkd camp this past weekend).

I had a visit from a very dear friend last night. A coworker from 1998! We'd worked together through her first pregnancy and we really bonded during that time and after. Her hubby was Air Force so shortly after becoming fast friends, they were assigned to Germany for many years (she and I would have many phone calls as I drove into work - as she was heading home from her work - so timing was awesome). They now live in OH. They have family about 3 hours southeast of us so when they come into town for family stuff, I get to see them every now and again. They were here for a wedding so we were able to have dinner and I asked them to stay at our place since they had to get to the airport at 3am for 5am flight and car rental return. No sense paying for a hotel for 4 hours of sleep when we have a spare room upstairs and only 30 mins from the airport. Hubby did wake me at 130 am as they were loading up to head to the airport (they're like me, I'd rather waste time at the airport than rush and be stressed).

My weight is holding at 246… Not making the healthiest of choices as I'm trying to keep it to softer foods. Hoping to be back on my regular foods by next week.

Kelly - your progress and connection are so inspiring!!! I'm glad you're finding your groove.

Sarah - glad you made it to your Nats game!! You're going to see progress very soon - I'm sure of it!!

I have to go into Scottsdale tomorrow so I'll check in on Thursday or Friday.
