Hello ladies! I'm expecting baby #4. Due date May 7th. I probably won't make it that far (I'm known for early babies). How are you ladies dealing with sickness? For those who already have other children, is this pregnancy different than your others? This pregnancy is very different this time around for me. Crossing fingers that this little one is a girl.

    Hello Melissa (and others)
Congratulations!! First of all on your pregnancy, but also on your amazing weight loss. That is so inspiring!!
My name is Marte and I'm freshly pregnant too, due around 5/16. This will be my #2. Having a 2nd feels even more drastic and complicated than having the first one, so I'm kind of nervous. Mostly because we live in a tight Manhattan apartment with tight budget and my family is a continent away. But its gonna work out.
Do you have all boys? Do they quarrel a lot?
Ive heard girls give you more morning sickness due to hormones. So if you're feeling sicker it might mean you lucked out with a little lady:)

Hey Ladies! Due with #2 about 5/14. I have a 2 year old daughter (as of last week). No sickness or anything yet. I think with my 1st it started around week 6 and didn't end until week 16. I don't even feel pregnant at this point. Can't wait to go through this journey with you.

Hey Nicole. Congratulations! My son just turned 2 as well:) Are you going trough a lot of tantrums with her? My kid is living up to the word "terrible two" lately, being extremely clingy and fuzzy. He just wants to be carried all the time. Hope he will calm down soon. I don't know how i will be able to carry a heavy kicking, screaming kid around while being super hormonal and tired. Ai.. How has this been for you Melissa? I'm interested in hearing everything about coping with several.
Anyways. I've been blessed so far. I feel pretty normal, just maybe like having a pms. last pregnancy was pretty smooth. I didn't have much sickness, I was just very tired. And gained A LOT of weight. But allowed myself to do that. Previous kid was made of pretty much ice cream, coffee and pizza. This one will be made of all clean, nutritious healthy super foods.. Thats my plan, so please keep me accountable, ladies..:)

    Hi Ladies,

I am pregnant w #2. My first one is 3 and half and a willful smart little boy. I'm due mid-May, but kind of cautious bc I lost my last two pregnancies at around 8 weeks which was quite traumatic. So my husband is super protective this time and is not letting me do much exercise but honestly I am so exhausted that there is not great desire. Morning sickness hits me at random times too but it is not constant. I am really hoping for a little girl!

Hello and congrats to all of you! I am pregnant with #3 and due May 13th. I have a 5 yr old girl and a 2 yr old boy. This pregnancy was a complete surprise, we planned on stopping with the 2, but we are thrilled to being adding one more precious angel. :)

I am just getting to the point where I am feeling tired, but I am not sure if it is from pregnancy or the reduction in caffeine. I was sick constantly with my daughter and not at all with my son. I have had a few times this week where certain things make me gag.

I gained 60 lbs with my 1st pregnancy and 24 with my 2nd. I still plan on logging calories and working out normally for as long as I can. I am hoping to keep my weight reasonable and maintain some level of fitness.

Any of you please feel free to add me. I have some awesome MFP friends, but it would be great to have some going thru the sme stage of pregnancy together!

    Hi!

I've just found out that I'm expecting, due mid May. Very excited but also unbelievable nervous as I've had two miscarriages in the past 12 months. Part of the reason I joined MFP was to become a healthier me, hubby has lost over 30lbs too. I already have an amazing 3 year old little girl, I really need this pregnancy so go as well as it did with her!

    Congratulations to you all!

    Hello Everyone and Congrats!

I am pregnant with No.3 and due May 7th. We have two sons (7 and 5 years old). With such a long break inbetween I forgot how crappy the first trimster is. Very nauseated all day with this pregnancy and my energy level zero. Today is week 7, so I just keep telling myself four more weeks and hopefully it will be done. I remember being sick with my first, and feeling pretty decent with my second. That had everyone certain that the second was a girl, even though Mom knew he was going to be a boy. Hoping for a girl this time, but just excited to be pregnant.

My logging has been sporadic as I have not been eating much and I take a nap on my noon hour instead of walking like I was before. Hoping that can change next month, but we'll play it by ear.

Any hints of suggestions for an old-time mom to help with the morning sickness? I have my saltines and usually try to eat those with a slice of cheese every couple of hours. Have been drinking Ginger Ale when it gets really bad. Now that it is cooling down I can drink peppermint tea, but it had been too warm the last few weeks. I wear Sea-Bands all day and only take them off at night. And have lemon drops or peppermint Fisherman Friends to suck on when needed. Everything I did before, but they just don't seem to be helping.

Nice to meet you ladies! Good luck on your pregnancies!!

@ stephysd- I'm about the same when it comes to handling my nausea. I'm tired all the time and have to take naps around 6pm just to make it til 10pm. Lol! I'm hoping for a girl as well. I am so tired of seeing blue everywhere.

Hi! Two's haven't been too bad yet. She's very inquisitive and independent, but for the most part she's pretty good. They all have their moments. The past couple of days we've been dealing with meltdowns when I leave for work. She wants to come!!! I feel so bad, but I think it will be a short lived period. I've been feeling pretty good myself. I had MS (or all day sickness I should say) weeks 6-16 with my daughter, but nothing yet. Hoping it stays that way. I've had some good days and some bad days eating, but the bad days I feel crappy so I know at this point if I eat good I'll feel good (that's motivation enough)!!! I only gained 1 lb with my first so I'm really hoping I don't get too crazy. I'm starting this pg out 10 lbs less than my first so that's helpful anyway.

Anyone have their first appointment yet? I go 10/1 (8wks). My first pg I started out with a specialist, but got pg on my own. They had you come in every 48 hours for blood draws for the first 10 days and I had an U/S at 7wks. This time we got pg first try (I was so shocked) and my first appt will be 8wks and I think they do an U/S at 10 or 12 wks. We told family and friends at 9wks last time, but I had already had the U/S. I really would like to wait until I have one this time around, but DH really wants to start telling people next week (we have a wedding on Sat (9/28). I'm not a big drinker so I don't think anyone will wonder, but I don't know.

Hey girls! I am pregnant with #2 and due to having back-to-back pregnancies, I have no way of finding out the due date until my first appointment on September 26th! However, I know my due date is sometime in May. I am so excited! Feel free to add me ladies!

This pregnancy is already very different form my first. I've put on 5 pounds already and morning sickness is crazy! Maybe it's a girl this time?

So exiting to think about all the little people who are being created at the same time all over. When I was a child I always wanted to meet someone who were born on the exact day as me. I was sure we somehow would be twins. Now social media makes anything possible:)

I haven't told anyone else than my husband yet. it feels so nice to have this thread. To ventilate some of the excitement!
And i feel extra motivated to remain healthy trough out pregnancy now.

88meli and loulou and all of you who have had early miscarriages before. Extra love to you. It must be nerve-wrecking to go trough a pregnancy with those previous experiences. I cant even imagine..
Best of luck to us all for healthy pregnancies and healthy babies!

I'm sorry for your losses. I too, experienced two miscarriages but I was 10/11 weeks along. I'm hesitant to post anything on my Facebook or on my wall here on MFP til I know for sure my little one is doing okay. I wanted to wait to tell my family but my husband couldn't keep the secret from his family, so I had to tell mine. Both sides are pretty excited about the news.

Sounds good to me. Morning sickness (or just sickness) started last week. Thurs and Fri it was at 5pm - just in time for my commute home  Not fun at all!! The weekend was pretty much the same. Today, however, was different. I don't know if I just waited too long to eat or what. Been nauseous since 9 and it still hasn't gone away almost 4 hours later. I had MS (all day sickness) weeks 6-16 last time. I just want to be able to work out, but don't think its the best thing right now.

Hi! 7 weeks here! Due date is May 10th. I think starting a group sounds like a good idea.

I've been having MS at different times of the day. I'm thinking I may buy some ginger candy chews to help settle my stomach. Anyone else also dealing with acid reflux?

Oh and I seem to be tired alllll the time! I think I've only exercised twice in the past two weeks!

Hi all, I am 7 weeks pregnant with my 4th (and last!). God that sounds like loads!! I have always been a big gainer during pregnancy having used it as an excuse in the past to eat family sized bags of chocolates and mountains of food. This time I want it to be different and really don't want to gain much :( I've always wanted to be one of those women who still look lovely and trim, with a nice little bump, in reality I end up looking like a fat sweaty heifer with 6 chins ;)
I've met my MW already and had an early scan due to a bit of spotting, my EDD is 11th May 2014. I'd really like a little girl and have the perfect name picked out in my head but practicality wise it would be easier to have a boy and better for my youngest who'd have a little playmate. My next scan is booked for 31st October, which also coincides with school holidays over here in England so that is going to take a bit of juggling.
I've been feeling very sick and very tired this time around and have the dreaded cold that has been doing the rounds locally, so I am really worn out. Exercise is a distant memory, but hopefully once the second tri hits I can get out on some nice long hikes again. I was a member of MFP under a different username, but having gained weight over the summer holidays whilst my eldest were off school and now being pregnant I decided to start afresh.
Nice to meet you all and here is to happy and healthy pregnancies :)
