SO I bought a dress size 12 as a mini goal dress to fit into for New Years...currently I'm a 16. Is that considered 2 dress sizes or 4 smaller? I thought it was 4 (because 16-12 = 4) but a co-worker says it's only 2 because there isn't a dress size of 15 or 13.

Second, I'm completely motivated to fit into this dress, but is it an unrealistic goal? I haven't been a size 12 since before I started having kids...17 years ago. Any words of wisdom or encouragement?

    Yes, your coworker is correct. It is 2 dress sizes and no, it is not unrealistic at all to get there by New Years. There is a lot of time still. Try to stay on track. Good luck!

    I don't think losing 2 dress sizes is unachievable. aim high. if you don't get into it after 90 days push for 120 days and just keep moving towards fitting into that dress.
