Week 2 done - measurements

I lost 3.4 pounds, 1.5 inches in hips, 1/2 inch in waist and 1/2 inch in thigh - 0 in arm (though I do see definition). Anyone else taking measurements? I don't know to me 1/2 inch doesn't seem like a lot...I'm a little behind on my goal of 2lbs a week. But I didn't eat the greatest this weekend, so it's my own fault.
How can I get more loss in my belly? I do the crunches til it burns - I'm not kidding myself I don't imagine having a 6 pack after having 6 babies (I know my profile says mom of 5 - but I created the account then got pregnant...and mom of 6 is taken)...thoughts?

I only took my waist measurement and decided to wait the end of each phase to measure. I really haven't stepped on scale consistently either. For now, I am focusing more on eating healthy and getting into a routine of exercising for more than two or three weeks then falling off the wagon!
  • Hi I agree - I have finished phase 1 and put 2lb on but have lost about 10inches all over my body so although I weigh myself to keep an idea of where I am others have said meaurements are important. I think its cardio that would help burn the belly fat - I reckon I have a 6 pack under my layers of belly fat! you just have to burn of the fat on top of the muscles!
Others have said you said you tend to notice more weight loss in the 2nd phase!

I am measuring at the end of each phase. I finished phase one on Saturday. I took my measurements and I may not have measured correctly so I am not sure how much I can take stock in any of this. I am bad at things like this. Here is what I have:

    Waist: -1 inch
    Hips: -1.25 inches
    Chest: -1.6 inches
    Left arm: -0.25 inches
    Right Arm: -.25 inches
    Left Thigh: -1 inch
    Right Thigh: -1 inch

It was that TOM during my weigh in and I had had a few cheat days surrounding my daughters birthday week. As of this morning I am down about 7 lbs though.

I'm also waiting until the end of each phase to take new measurements and weigh myself. My eating has been really off this week, so I REALLY need to get that on track as I finish up week 3 and move onto week 4. I've had some comments about looking slimmer the last couple weeks, and I definitely feel stronger and better about my arms and stomach. I'm one who loses weight and inches very slowly, so as long as I keep going in the right direction, no matter how small the losses, I'll feel better. I'm not expecting any miracles, but I'm really enjoying the program so far!
