I treadmill walked today.

I'm doing a 5K race this morning. I've walked/run several but this is just the second one I'm running start-to-finish (or at least that's the plan - there's a long steep hill at the end that I'm a little nervous about). My primary objective is to run the entire thing, and if I get a decent time that will be a bonus.0

Good luck Laura! Hills are rough. I made a promise to myself that at the park where I sometimes run, that I would never ever stop on the hill. It's just too tempting to stop on it, so I have to keep reminding myself. It's mainly mind over matter--even if you have to go slow. You can do it!!!
Today is mostly a rest day. However, I did a fair amount of walking to/from/transferring metros, to take my son to a casting. Then I did more neighborhood walking, and tot & bag-carrying after shopping. I got a sewing machine! (excited!) Thank goodness the shop was near a bus stop, because a toddler AND a sewing machine gets heavy.
In other news, last night, with the help of walkjogrun.net, I mapped out a running path from my house to & along the sea to the end of the tram line, that is exactly 10miles. I want to make it a goal to run this. It is entirely downhill, basically from the Acropolis hill, all the way to the beach. And the end is the end of the tram line, so I can hop on the tram and ride all the way back. I want to be able to make this run before the end of the year, which I don't think is too ambitious. (Then maybe next year I'll work on running back...but idk about the uphill part. :-b )
