Noodles

Ok....I've used the miracle noodles/no noodles and am ok with those in soups & asian dishes. However, I'm looking for something a little more like pasta.
I've heard good things about Tofu Shirataki noodles but don't want to have to buy 10 pkgs of them on Amazon.com just to try them out. They have the spaghetti and macaroni shape varieties. Have any of you tried them and if so, what was your experience?
I also just discovered Quest Pasta. http://www.questproteinbar.com/
Sounds good and I can just buy 1 to see if they are worth it. Have any of you tried those?

I had one bite of my shiratake noodles and threw 3 bags of them out. But, others like them.0

YMMV but I've had good results with Dreamfields pasta and so has my diabetic husband. Not everyone has good results tho. I have one serving and make sure to cook it exactly as directed.
I sometimes make zucchini linguine with a spiralizer - not the same taste as pasta but I like it with pesto.0 -

I haven't heard of dreamfields but love zucchini which I have used in making lasagna. I also love the spaghetti squash0 -
Love quest bars.
The pasta looks to be made of the same stuff as shirataki

fwiw, I don't love the original shiritaki noodles except in recipes that call for glass or mungbean noodles.
I do like the tofu ones, done right. rinsed well. dry fried, and cooked with something yummy.
I get them at the local organic market.0 -
Imagine the most succulent, melt in your mouth perfection of carb perfection that you think of. Now imagine the complete opposite of that, boiled in sewer water, served in a dirty ashtray and you've got shiratake noodles! YUCK!
YMMV - Dreamfields: Tastes good, but it kicked me out of ketosis with a one cup serving. Oh well, I played the risks and figured I was a big enough guy that it wouldn't get me, I was wrong. You still get the carbs, just more slowly over time. Supposedly that leads to less of an insulin spike. It works for some; epic failure for me.0 -
Thanks for the feedback. Think I may stick with spaghetti squash for now though I would like to try the macaroni style Tofu Shirataki as I've really been wanting some mac & cheese0
