Hey lovely people, im new to this...
I have tried so many times to drop this weight...
so i need help with a range of ideas for breakfast and lunchtime...
I can never think of anything to make that's not too expensive and is yummy and healthy!
Any breakfast or lunch ideas would be fabulous!!!
Please help me reach my goal by christmas!
Thanks!

I've been trying to come up good lunch ideas myself, in an attempt to cut back on wheat products and sugar (which is my weakness).
This week I've got stuff ready to go for Garden Veggie Wraps (the recipe originally makes a sandwich but wraps are a bit lighter and healthier I think) and Curry Chickpea Lettuce Wraps.
Wraps:
sliced cucumber
sliced tomato
sliced avocado (or a spread would be good too)
banana pepper rings (mine are just the pickled store bought kind)
wheat tortilla
Lettuce Wraps:*
large leaves of lettuce
2 tbsp curry paste (found in international section of supermarket)
2 cup baby spinach
1/2 cup shredded carrot
1/2 cup diced tomato
1/2 cup chickpeas (canned), drained and rinsed**
Mix curry paste with 1/3 cup of water in large, microwave safe bowl, and whisk together. Add remaining ingredients, cover and microwave on high for 3 min. Stir mixture together, cover and microwave on high for additional 2 min or until veggies are tender. Spoon desired amount into lettuce leaf and wrap, eat with fingers.
NOTE:
* original recipe also calls for 4oz of soy meat crumble
** you will have chickpeas left over, I threw mine into the chili I was making
As far as breakfast goes I usually stick with eggs, peanut butter on wheat toast, cereal, or oatmeal. If I'm in super rush I'll throw together a breakfast-protein fruit smoothie to take on the commute.0 -
you should try finding a cereal you like (high in iron and fiber) thats what i usually have for breakfast.. with skimmed milk.
or egg whites and spinach
(i add some feta cheese too sometimes which is so so good)
and into a wrap or pitta! (wholemeal)
alittle low fat hummus is good inside the wrap/pitta if you desperately need some sauce!
if not, even a low sugar/salt ketchup?
You can find loads of healthy pancake recipes online if you have the time.
OR mixed berries with yoghurt & honey is a good one for a quick breakfast.
thats usually what i have :-)0
