Having a hard time with meal time...

Hi Everyone,
I've been diagnosed with T2 for a little less than 2 years now. My biggest problem that I'm constantly fighting is high fasting levels, I average 150- 175 ( daily). I'm on 1 pill Janumet. I've tried everything I can to get this down but I haven't been a saint.
Can late meals affect my fasting BG. I have a job that I don't get home until 7:30p and dinner can be late as 8:45p-9p. Even though I've tried this dinner time can not be helped ( unless Mary Poppins shows up at my door). I go to bed at 11pm. No snack. Get up at 6:30a. Could the late meals be the reason my fasting BG numbers are high?
I've read a suggestion recently to add light exercise 15-20 min before bed. I might try that.
Also, is it unusual to feel sick on your stomach during the night? I sometimes wake up a 3am or 4am and my stomach upset like I ate too much sugar or something.
Any thougths?

What are you eating for dinner? It's not so much eating late (I often eat dinner at 9-10PM) but what you are eating.0
