so i'm a little obsessed with the super cute weight loss jars where you use stones/beads/whatever to represent the pounds you have to lose. one has pounds lost, one has pounds to go, and you switch a stone from the 'to go' jar to the 'lost' jar every time you lose a pound.

but, because i don't feel like going to target today, i made my own! i do a lot of quilting and crafting, so i have a buttload of spare pins laying around. i think it's cute!

what do you guys do to keep yourselves motivated? visual things? apps? rewards? i'm always looking for new ideas!

That is SUCH an awesome idea! I never really get on Pintrest. Maybe I should.

I keep a calendar and colorful stickers... Each time I work out I get a colorful sticker. When I look at the calendar if it's fully covered I know I did a great job and stayed on task... if I see too many "blank" spaces, I know I need to get on the ball. Seeing several blank spaces is disheartening so I make sure to stay active.

Been doing that since I was liek 12 years old. LOL I'm 28 now. When I stop doing it I tent to gain weight.

Might try your idea too but I don't have pins so I may use beads or marbles...

Those are both great ideas. Right now I try to put a smiley face (that I draw) on my pocket calender that I carry in my purse. But I really like the idea of sticky colorful dots on a wall calender that would make it easier to see. I am going to start doing that. And i have seen the jars with the beads for the weight loss. May have to do that also. I did see on Pinterest where you have a jar and everytime you work out you put a $1,00 in in then at the end of the year or 6 months you have money to buy something as an award.
