Hey! I'm Kat and I have been eating my version of paleo for 4 weeks now! I can't always afford organic and grain feed meats, but we do have deer and grow what we can. I just wanted to say that I love it! Even when I was going through the tired and sick feeling while adjusting I felt way better. I have felt sick for many years. Just tired and out of it. I always had intestinal issues and got sick constantly. I was having issues with weight loss, even while doing intense exercises like Insanity and T25. After almost a month of eating paleo I feel amazing! I no longer feel sick all the time and I haven't had any issues with my stomach. I have lost almost 8 pounds with minimal exercising. Now that my energy is back I am going to add my exercises back into my schedule. I am so glad that a coworker talked me into just trying paleo for two weeks. It really has changed so much in my life already! I even have a few friends that might jump on with me!!
So there is a quick blurb about me. I mostly just wanted to say hi instead of stalking the boards... :blushing:

Oh and feel free to friend me! I don't use MFP as much anymore since I no longer track calories, but friends and support are always welcome!0

Hello.
I've been ketogenic Primal, and lately a bit more Paleo, for over 15 months. I do it for health primarily but the weight loss is a great side effect of optimal health. I do log my food most of the time, mostly to keep my eye on my macros. I need to keep my fats high and my carbs low.
I'm very passionate and committed to my lifestyle. I have treats here and there, such as organic popcorn, but I never "cheat with wheat". I'm opinionated and outspoken, so that doesn't appeal to everyone.
Try to get to know local farmers (if you live where there is farming-I don't!) and you may be able to find more affordable foods. Wild meat is an excellent option, and I eat caribou, muskox and Arctic char regularly.0
