Where? When? I'm showing my triathlon newbie-ness, but even worse is my lack of media-watching skills.

TV?? (and channel?) Internet?

I generally watch the swim, and the pros get on the bike. Then I walk away for the next 4 hours.

Ironman Triathlon is extremely boring to watch..

See I don't find it that way. Maybe it's the cycling coach in me, but I find the various cadences/positions/gear/etc. all very interesting.

Thanks! The day after you posted, Triathlete.com posted this on my FB feed. But I like your answer b/c it was short and to the point.

Trying to figure out what I'm going to do - I want to watch the swim (of course!!!), and the bike - but I have a spin class at 9am - just when it will start here on the west coast. I might take my ipad to the gym and set it up next to my spin bike. Somehow I don't think I'll be very productive at either thing if I do that.

Go buy a trainer, hook up your bike and ride at home, win?

Just remember, Hawaii is 5 hours behind us. Coverage does not start until 11:00 AM CST.

I think the best seat in the house is qualifying and being on the field. That is my goal...in about 5-7 years....on a serious note, I love the trainer idea.

Ugh!! What am I doing wrong? The Ironman.com site still says "live coverage, stay tuned". It was supposed to start 20 min ago???? (Well, actual start in 10 min)

im hoping there will be a highlights package on ESPN (in aust) or something.

18 hours is a bit to long to sit and watch.
