Hi All

I've been lurking for a bit but thought I'd introduce myself now I know I'm definitely not going to back out of the programme like a wuss!!!!

I'm 28, female, current weight is about 147lbs. I start Week 4 of C25K today.

I've never liked running because well I've always been rubbish at it. But the C25K has made it much more interesting and set achievable goals and I'm loving it!

I've booked myself into a 5K at the end of March 2014 and a 10k at the end of May 2014 and I'm really excited to do it and finally be able to consider myself 'fit and active'!!!!

Just finished Week 4 Day 1 - so happy with myself. Wasn't sure I'd make the 5mins but I did :) I'm definitely getting fitter and that's great :)

Today was a treadmill day, will be hitting the road for Days 2 & 3 though, so we'll see how much harder that is!

Congratulations on catching the running bug! Good luck w your 5K and 10K. Until then, I think that you'll be really proud of yourself once you complete W5D3 next wk.

Yeah the 20mins is a bit intimidating! But I trust the programme so I'm confident (yet still petrified) that I'll be able to do it. I think its more psychological than anything else.

Today was the first 5minutes I did, and I wasn't struggling, but my head kept hinting at quitting, but I got over it and kept going so hopefully by the end of next week I can do the same with the 20mins!

You will be able to. Sounds like you're doing awesome. I'm excited to see your progress.

So after a few days off due to pulling a muscle in my back I went back to the gym last night.

    Week 5 has begun!

Last night was Day 1- 5mins run, 3mins walk (x3) and it went really well.

Wish me luck - this week is TOUGH!!!!!

    I didi IT!!!!!

I have an awful head cold and was going to put it off because I wanted to be sure I could give it a good go, but I decided to at least make an attempt. Day 3 has been conquered!!!!

    So happy with myself :)
