Stage 1: Step-Ups

I'm about to start NROL4W this week and I have a question. The sets of one- sides lifts like step-ups... is one set 15 on one side then 15 on the other? Or is one set one side? Thanks!

I did these with 12 pound weights, 15 each leg x 2 sets. I was sore....used my hot tub steps. Now I'm going to a gym, still in stage one. Welcome0

So, I did the step-ups yesterday and didn't feel much. I'm pretty sore today, though..
I used two 20 lb dumbells to do this. I feel like my body could have used higer weights, but my grip-strength probably wouldn't have allowed me to hold heavier weights. Should I increase the height of the step to increase the difficulty or should I try the barbell on the back? The barbell won't relaly help me increase my grip-strength, though...0 -
I think the height of the step is more important here than the weight. I'd say try increasing that first0
