Is this what I want? I mostly pool swim and likely wouldn't wear it there anyway. But I definitely need bike/run stuff. I know I need the GPS and HRM.

It looks like it is compatible with gym equipment, too? If gym equipment makes a difference, I go to a high-end gym - Pilot "computers" on the bikes and the typical treadmills, but nicer than the YMCA has.

If you really want to get the most out of pool swimming I'd go with the 910. Otherwise I'd go for the 310 or a Timex Global Trainer.

Thanks, Scott. I looked at the dcrainmaker review for the 910 last night and my head is spinning. I didn't *think* I wanted something in the pool (I don't wear a watch or any jewelry in the water), but after looking at the data it collects, I may reconsider. I have a coach at times who can analyze my strokes, but swim alone most of the time because no one swims like I do at the times I'm in the pool. So that might be nice.

The thought of losing it in an OWS bothers me. Yikes!

polar have one that transmits heart rate data in the pool. i notice the 910x says that you can wear the strap in the water but wont get any data from it.
