Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Keith. I'm 33 and from the Hudson Valley, NY.

2 years ago I had gastric-bypass and lost 95 lbs. I started at 300 lbs, got down to 205 lbs. Since I hit my lowest weight I've gained 35 of those lbs back - so I currently hover around 205 lbs. I'm currently on a high protein / low carb diet, and I stick to the Strong Lifts 5x5 routine which has been amazing.

My doctor stated that I stretched my stomach in the past year . . . I can eat much more than I could after I had the surgery, but I still can in no way devour an entire pizza like I was able to prior. He wants to do a restorative surgery to re-shrink it, but I'm skeptical and trying to do it myself. I went the surgical route - it cured my diabetes, sleep apnea, and other ailments . . . but from this point on it's all on me, and I know I can do it.

    Hello Keith:

I would, too, would want to work at not having the surgery to re-shrink your stomach. To me it sounds like you know exactly what you need to do. Glad to see you've joined MyFitnessPal; it will definitely help you to keep track of your food intake and your exercise. In my opinion, it's one of the best applications out there. I just recently began to read the posts people are making, and many are not only an inspiration, but they're informative.

Keep your momentum going; best of luck to you, Janis

It is a delicate balance to eat sufficient for nutrition and still not extend pouch. I tend to still use protein shakes, separate eating from drinking and eat 5 small meal of less than 1 cup volume. Recently my husband I string to separate eating fron drinking liquids at the same time, and he is losing weight cause he feels fuller, not washing food through stomach with meals.

    Gods luck.
    Revision surgery is more difficult.
