Hey everyone. My story is I was an obese man at 285 pounds standing 6'1'' and big framed. Through cutting, exercise and the paleo liftstyle of coarse I've dropped down to 220 pounds!

A long way to go and still overweight but I'm pretty strict on the diet aside from ketchup and bbq sauce (small amounts!)

Now the foods I eat are very satiety and I'm never hungry,(check out my diary) but clearly I'm not eating enough and it's catching up with me. I weigh everything with a food scale so I am pretty accurate on the cals aswell.

What else can I add to bump up my cals intake per day?

Thanks

congrats on the loss! after looking at your diary... i would:

add some meat to breakfast- bacon or something, and use the bacon fat to cook your eggs in (olive oil isn't the best for cooking- its best at low temps, so i would maybe consider coconut oil if you aren't into the amazing taste of bacon fat)

add some meat to lunch- chicken thigh cooks up great in a crock pot and will give you lost of leftovers for quick lunches

i mean besides that it looks alright. don't be afraid to eat more fat and use more fat to cook with. you might want to make sure your eating more protein too- your levels looks pretty low on most days. also instead of buying chicken breast, chicken thigh has a higher fat content, plus it tastes way better. you don't eat too many calories- I eat way more than you!! :)

a few of my favorite high-cal foods are avocados, mature coconut meat, almond butter, homemade sausage links (or deli bought if im lazy) bacon, homemade coconut oil chocolates, and cheese- yes i said it. its my non-paleo love (which i eliminated for a long time and reintroduced trouble free, so now i eat up to 2oz a day)

civilizedcavemancooking.com has lots of awesome recipes- one of my favorites of his is the spicy pineapple chili! great way to get in your veggies and meat, also crockpot stuffed peppers which are great for grab and go lunches :)

Maybe choose nuts that are more fattening, like pecans or brazil. I buy them raw and then lightly fry them in sesame oil, and add salt.

What about adding coconut to your diet? Coconut cream in a cup of chai or cinnamon tea is yummy. A coconut milk smoothie with dates and bananas, or even cocoa?

Our favorite (calorie packed) treat is ice cream (we make it in an ice cream maker) made with just coconut milk, cocoa, olive oil, and peppermint extract.

    Tehina, hummus, mayo.
