Gastric ByPass Today...Today is the Day!!

Today is the day!!! I am scheduled for Gastric bypass this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. It has been a long prep time, but I am glad because I really feel that I am ready for the procedure.
My last doctor's appointment took an entire morning and they totally walked a group of us through what to expect from the moment we arrive at the hospital until we come back for our one week check up. I feel prepared and I hope I know what to expect. Baring complications, I should be home in a couple of days and I'll be back on line to let you know how things are proceeding.

It took me over a year to have mine done. My dietitian and surgeon have a very thorough process and I spent many hours preparing and knew exactly what to expect every step of the way, from pre op to post op to each week after the procedure.
I was only in the hospital for one day--had my surgery in the morning and was released the following morning.

I'm so excited for you! This will be a wonderous day for you - a new beginning and the start of something you cannot imagine! August 31st is still held as one of the two more important days in my life -- the other being the day my son was born
