Weight training routine

Hi, I've really been wanting to start weight training but I guess I still just don't know where to start. I've read NROLFW but I guess I do better with something like a video that would show me proper form & exactly what to do & for how long. I can't lift much right now & am very weak so just exercising w/o weights seems to make me very sore (like squats, lunges, etc). I have light weights I use right now just for during my walking & stuff but don't really know what I'm doing with them. Are there any videos that show u step by step what to do?
Also, I just purchased a weight machine & I've been told it's much better to use barbells, etc. but would that be a good starting point just to build up my strength before starting something more serious? I'm sorry for all the questions, it's just I really don't know what to do & I appreciate any advice anyone is willing to give. Or if someone could just tell me what lifts to do on what days, etc. & maybe I could look them up on youtube for proper form. Thank u so much for being understanding!

What are your goals? Fat loss, strength gain, muscle development etc?0
