OVERCOMING WEIGHT GAIN TRAPS DURING THE HOLIDAYS

For some of us our battle is lost every weekend when we justify breaking from our weight loss plan for an opportunity to let loose. For others business trip, family vacations and other reasons for traveling (or leaving our comfort/safe zones) are justifiable reason for losing ground.

How do are you overcoming weight loss traps: fun filled weekends, traveling and the holiday season?

    A strong support network is key. Having people around you who understand your goals is important. People who understand that one cookie COULD hurt what it is you are trying to do. When I'm not in competition prep mode, my husband joins me in indulging, but he never lets me go to far. This means I can actually relax, knowing he'll reign me in if I come close to going off the chocolate chip cookie, buttered shrimp, pancake loaded deep end :-)
