OHP discussion- not time sensitive

After receiving, and applying, some advice in the form critique thread on my OHP I have failed early in my work weight sets (sl 5x5). Should this, struggling, be expected with a form adjustment. Common sense says yes, but I thought I'd ask.

I would think it would take a short period of adjustment but I would expect in most cases you would improve if the form correction puts you in a stronger position. That probably depends on context as does everything.

Specifically for the OHP, incorrect form may have lead you more toward a Push Press, which would account for the seeming loss of strength. Depending on how long you were pressing as you were before, adjusting will mean different parts of your deltoids are involved to different degrees than previously.

As in using lower body to give a boost or is there a difference in bar placement for push press? I try to maintain a "strict" stance with glutes activated. I am indeed feeling the work in a different area of the shoulders no doubt.

Also, these adjustments have made it so that I cannot currently get the bar to touch my chest without breaking my wrists back. Is this going to come with time and flexibility work?
